All is good.

Hopefully the time is short, and we get approved faster than expected.

Think positive.

Thinking positive: I am visiting my fiancé this month. Last trip before the interview; normally I visit every 4 months. Will go to a US State Dept approved doctor for vaccinations.

Thinking positive: The next visit will be no later than March-April for the interview. I will attend with her.

Thinking positive: Visa will be approved. Normally issued within 5 days. So I will stay until the visa is issued (vacation already pre-coordinated), so I can escort her back to the USA.

Thinking positive: She will packup all her summer clothes, so I could bring them back with me on this next trip. Help lighten the load on the last trip.

If there is an RFE--

Plan B: all remain the same just move the the timeline to the right 1 month. Interview April-May. Still a good time to marry in Texas.

Think Positive

My fiance will be visiting me next month.

After the noa2 things move very quickly.

Hopefully without hiccups we will get our visa in hand by late February.

Currently people from September are doing interviews. Just put everything like a month after your NOA1 at least based on some cases im seeing

I see in a September case someone received noa1 on September 4

Noa2 October 6

Interview date November 18

I guess it all depends on consulates in different countries.

But California is way ahead

Keep fingers cross.

This is why i advice everyone to read, read up about your country and consulate, time frames etc.

Read read read... I read and compare timelines from September to now so i can have an idea of how fast the process is going

Yes it is consulate specific. I had read that interviews are occurring normally 3 months after NVA for Ethiopia. Would be great to happen faster. February would be the best.

Pleased to announce that I have joined the November 2015 club. Sent in my paperwork today.

I have been waiting so long for this day to arrive.

Welcome Erik and Orn. Glad you have joined us. My recommendation is to finish your profile so we know what country you are processing through that way we will know how to answer you questions. Not all Embassy's are a like nor do they process the same.

Hello,

Glad you could join our November club.

I understand all are going to California. You will know within 2-3 days after they have received the petition. If you requested to be notified by text, that will come first. Then the NOA1 letter will come within 7 days after. If you see WAC for your reference # that means you're headed to California.

Make sure to start your timeline. That will help with guesstimating the time for the next steps. You have fellow Jamaican petitioners here, so I am sure they will fill you in on specific details.

Life's events are in the eye of the beholder. It is a race for me.

Journeys take way too long, and are by their very nature prone to the options of detours.

A race has an established finish line with the objective to get to that line as fast as is possible.

After we get the visa, we can take a breath and go for a journey :joy:

Just one man's opinion

Welcome! Its a journey not a race... Cases are being finalized in three months these days haha. Im from Jamaica

explain the timeline that you all are referencing?

journey/ race, i just cant wait for it to be over :content:

3 months? wow, that would be awesome. what part are you from? shes from kingston.

so its to everybodys hope and current understanding that the process is moving relatively quicker then in the past? that sounds really good.

Go to the menu there should be a timeline option where you can view other timelines and make one of your own. It basically helps others and yourself to have an idea of how soon you will get to the finish line.

Im not from Kingston i am from Portmore.

And all cases are being forwarded to California so hopefully no hiccups and you will have a smooth and speedy process
