Two worlds erupt in flames in these last of days

Your world is clouded in strife

As mine is clouded in darkness

We look for reprieve so as to end this madness

A reprieve of a visa that would bring us together

If This takes forever forever I will wait

All the world is against us

Troubles find us where ever we are

Seemingly as if to keep us apart

No one heard of K-1 until now

And now the K-1 maybe no more

If This takes forever forever I will wait

You have said my life is like a Hindu movie

Incredible changes incredible life

Nothing for anyone to believe

And now you are part of that movie

If This takes forever forever I will wait

Your world is in turmoil no longer can we speak

My world is in purgatory no longer can I breathe

We are worlds apart yet our hearts together

My thoughts are with you every day as we wait

If This takes forever forever I will wait

Now I sleep and yet I sleep not

For sleep eludes me these days of wait

The last words you spoke to me where so long ago

You said be patient my love

You said you will be there waiting

If This takes forever forever I will wait,

If This takes forever forever I will wait

Beautiful Poetry . Your Gal is a lucky one to have someone like you Jaime

Tyler---you are too cool. Perhaps one day we could meet and split a bottle of Johnnie---my treat.

Congratulations!!!!!! Time to take a breath, and then get ready for the interview.... Set the marriage date my friend, it is coming. And then life really gets interesting.

:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

That would be awesome. I used to live in Dallas years ago. Oh wait we have to plan a wedding at some point? I can't even think of that part yet..haha.

I'm sure my boss will be just as excited for me to get that NOA2. So I can focus on work, instead of mulling around like a lovesick teenager.

During the weekend I had this vision of the processors enjoying their Christmas... erruhhh... I mean "Holiday" celebration at work. Them eating their sloppy food while using our petitions as place-mats.

I decided to call a friend of mine who works in a federal job. He does not work at USCIS but was very involved in INS years ago. So he has a few contacts.

Long story short... (this is third-hand information) he did some inquiring. Some of this confirms what we already know or suspected (if accurate). The majority of the agents are cross-trained. Meaning they have the ability to process whatever type of case that comes across their desk. They are assigned cases and that case stays with them for the duration or in our case, when forwarded to NVC.

This part might explain your delay. Certain cases (primarily K-1 applications) now considered "higher-risk" have recently been assigned two sets of eyes, meaning they are checked and approved, then parts of the petition are handed to a second person for reevaluation and then returned to the original processor. The second look currently is adding roughly 7 to 10 days to the final approval before being routed to NVC. I suspect this is probably the result of the recent incident in California (among other things).

Perhaps some good news for you/us: The word is that Tuesday the 15th through Wednesday the 23rd is 95% staffed. Apparently they are under pressure to clear out as many cases as possible before the 23rd. The majority of new cases coming in will not be processed until January placing emphasis on current workload. He couldn't find out anything about my petition, I am guessing they have strict rules on that. The encouraging words I was told was that if we have a NOA1 date of 11/25 or before, most likely we will see approvals this week even if our case had a second look. I think that is evident based on the recent approvals.

This was the Reader's Digest version. Apparently, now it does matter where the fiance is from.

Ok this is just crazy. Last night I had a dream that we got an RFE because I did not submit the (T.O.S.) terms of service of the dating site that we used or provide any info about the site at all. I checked "NO" for question 35. Did you meet your fiancé(e) or spouse through the services of an international marriage broker? All I did was list the name of the site. www.asiandating.com. I did many other things wrong that if I took the time to read the K-1 Guide I would have had a better packet. Including failing to put "I-129F" on the mailing envelope AND not knowing about the e-notifications forum but I did sign up for USCIS case tracking once I had my WAC number. I was actually happy in my "dream" because I knew that even with an RFE at least my petition was being worked and after I sent in the info it would be approved shortly thereafter. Well a dream is not reality and there was no RFE or anything else when I woke up.

Full disclosure. I have petitioned someone over 21 years ago via a K-1 this was WELL before the internet. It took about 5-6 months total back then. I did another K-1 over 10 years ago which was also approved. This was Pre-IMBRA and it took 95 days for NOA 2 to show up and 7 months total from filing to Visa in hand. Believe it or not I used these very forums 10 years ago but a lot has changed. So there you have it. I know it's a lot of baggage but I have no regrets. Actually I have 2 beautiful children to show for it.

Me and the kids were making cookies tonight after watching the GOP debate "talk about entertainment". I had a BLEEP text message on my phone and it said........"Your Case WACXXXX is now updated Check "My Case Status at www.uscis.gov"

My heart nearly stopped. My first thought was "oh boy I'm getting an RFE" . Well I logged on and as of DECEMBER 15th, 2015 your case is APPROVED" :joy::joy:

So bottom line it took 28 days from Nov.17th :joy:

WOW Congratulations!!!!?????? so fast and so much closer to being together with your loved one.

Case approved!!! Best Xmas gift ever

Congratulations!! Best gift indeed!

Yaaaaayyy!! just checked my case. We got approved!!!!

Congrats!!!?

This is amazing information and insight, thanks so much!

I hope the ones from early November get theirs super fast this week as I can't even imagine how they feel.

We got my NOA1 the 18th and today I woke up in the middle of the night feeling so anxious that I might not see anything until Jan. I still pray and hope for a Christmas miracle and now with this information I feel a bit more confident.

I will try however to not check USCIS every second of the day as it probably doesn't help. I'll look at it maybe just once a day or at the end of this week.

Wishing the best for all November peeps!

I feel you. I also check the site every now and then... And it is really frustrating that you see the same thing. So I joined this forum and somehow see the trends. Partly, jealous of the early approval which some are really so fast. I agree with you, this info is really helpful to our high hopes. :)

I really wish all of us get the approval we've been waiting for.

You're welcome. There are no guaranties, of course. I'm in this for the long haul and fully prepared to see the approval in January. Okay, I'm lying. However, I'm really hoping to see Jaime's post saying NOA2 very soon.

We have the same NOA1 date of the 18th. Looking at Tyler's post... I also failed to include a copy of the T.O.S from the dating site we met on :bonk:

It's okay to check the USCIS site daily, twice a day, hourly, and every 15 minutes... gosh, I wonder if there is a support group for us
