I have heard rumor of this sort of mal-practice happening with immigration lawyers. Read it on other threads here in VJ about lawyers making the process more complicated. Sorry to hear you are going through it.

This agency (USCIS) is operated on soft-money (fee based), so the money has to be in the bank before they do anything. If the check bounces they return the packet with no questions asked.

I even open a seperate account to use for this all of this application fee and always make sure the sufficient fund in it for them to cash the check. And i check them everyday online to to make sure. This kind of feeling is hard, hard when you do not know where your paper work is.

thank you for your response, i hated because i paid for their services (immigation lawyer office) and they tried to save couple dollar by not sending it with delivery confimation, And now they have no idea if it was received or not. :(.

BTW congratulation on your case

do you have the recepit number for the package with usps? If so you can track it on their website.

Did you get a copy of the mail receipt used by the lawyer? Either Fed-Ex, UPS, or USPS.

With that receipt you can check on line on when the packet arrived at the Lockbox. Within 2-3 business days from that date you will have NOA1, if all is good (99%).

Also, with the receipt you can verify when the lawyer sent it. Maybe a chance they still have not. Make sure to get a copy of everything the lawyer does, as soon as possible. That is the only way to keep them honest. Otherwise they will tell you it is the government.

sorry to hear that. Now you have no way of knowing if the lawyer has sent it. In fact, because it is a lawyer they should know better than to send without receipt. They do everything by certified mail. My opinion, it is a lie they tried to save money--that is $5.00

My apology. I have zero confidence for your lawyer.

I wish i had it. I talked to them again they said it was send via USPS priority (with tracking of course) but they can't provide it because their system is up and down. I just hope they cash my check soon so I know my application received. I hate being in the dark like this. this feeling just s**K

That was my assumption because 3 weeks ago i called in to check they said it already sent out but when i ask if i can have the tracking number they didn't said. I called again today they said it was send via USPS Priority but still didn't give me the tracking because their system is up and down.

I just have pray and hope that they cash my check soon and that the only way for me to confirm that it was received.

Still no noa2? Noa1 dated nov 12

:lol::cry::pop:

I'm not sure if I am supposed to laugh, cry, or drown in fast food & good whiskey.

Nov 12!!!! I'm Nov 2 and still waiting on the NOA2, along with 61% of those from Nov 2.

But I know what you are feeling. I felt the same way back when VJ timeline said to expect my NOA2 around Dec 7 and it was completely wrong (yes Tyler I'm hating). But you never know, maybe the odds are with you.

Good luck, and hope all goes fast for you.

congrats soon everyone will be approved in november.

Patient.....like walking barefoot across broken glass

Has nothing to do with a 'computer'. They have a paper file folder. In that folder they have the original submission and a mailing receipt clipped inside the fold. They get up from the desk, walk over to the filing cabinet (if they have one), pull your folder, email you the receipt number if they don't have enough energy to scan it for you.

Did they give you a copy of the file?

If not get one as soon as possible. Be very nice when asking for it. You need to verify everything in that file. Then be prepared to resubmit.

Only a recommendation. But that is what I would do, today.

You guys shouldn't worry.

It sucks because i know the more you wait the more questions you have.

Sometimes it has alot to do with the amount of paperwork you send in to be reviewed.

The week isnt over yet. Speedy approvals everyone
