You and I both...

With the drought in Ethiopia the

electricity is sporadic (hydro-electric), which makes the normally bad phone service even worse. Never mind internet. So I can't even talk with her on a daily basis

to keep me calm.

I'm beyond hyperventilating. Grey hair coming in fast, acid reflex started,

headaches.

That's funny. Oh no pls not the Grey hair too. Hahaha!

What do you mean by rejection? Denial or RFE?

Not disclosing a police record or failing to provide all divorce decrees would be a couple of reasons. Basically, if they feel that you are trying to hide something, do not have a bona fide relationship, or if they suspect fraud... then it's curtains.

According to your timeline, you are waiting for the 2nd notice of action (NOA2). If it's something minor, they will request further evidence. Having met within the last 2 years prior to the petition and evidence of a bona fide relationship are huge. Remember, they don't know your story... so you have to prove to them it's real. Look at the guides on the top toolbar. Everything you should have submitted is there. Other than that, sit back... wait... and enjoy the ride.

I failed to mention income requirements. You have to document income exceeding 125% of the poverty level. That comes after the noa2.

Well, your post made me sit down and write a small program to mine the USCIS database a bit.

I sampled 200 petitions from November 12

98 were I-129F petition, of these:

89 were in NOA1

7 were in NOA2

1 was in RFE

1 had mail returned to USCIS

Maybe this gives us a better idea. I don't really want to tax their system too much, but if anybody wants a sampling from around their NOA1 date, I'll be happy to oblige.

Hello Eric, Oh thank you so much for doing this. Would you mind running it for Nov 17th?

It would be greatly appreciated.

I found a sampling of Nov 17 NOA1 petitions:

1 had NOA1 mail returned to USCIS

2 had payment returned due to insufficient funds

82 are in NOA1

2 were reject because they were not signed

None were approved

Mine is one day after Tyler's (Nov 18). Most likely a similar scenario

I found a block for November 6 as well. I'll summarize the 3 queries below (I will ignore RFE's and refused petitions):

Percentage of applications that have received NOA2 with NOA1 date of:

Nov 6 : 23%
Nov 12: 7%
Nov 17: 0%

I'll run the same queries in a few days and we can see how they change.

Ok sorry Eric I just replied to your personal message through the site BEFORE I read this.

Yeah when I was hunting and pecking a few days ago I saw the insufficient funds (yikes) - Unsigned? wow!

Ok there should be at least ONE APPROVED - YOURS right?

I also added Nov 2 to the results, could not edit above, so I will repeat it here:

Percentage of applications that have received NOA2 with NOA1 date of:
Nov 2 : 39%
Nov 6 : 23%
Nov 12: 7%
Nov 17: 0%

I would have expected Nov 2 to be much higher.

39% A lot more precise than the 30% I figured from hand jamming. According to VJ timeline (I'm hating on it again) it said Dec 7 at the latest. VJ should contact you to help bring their timeline into the 21st century.

We should all feel better at least with expectations adjusted to real time.

Eric, please include Nov. 13 please.

Thanks

I don't think that will be necessary since we can extrapolate. That percentage should be very close to the Nov 12 number.
