Checking in with my November peeps wassup

The vast majority of November filers are still here and might be until the end of the year :clock:

There have been more than a few yourself included who have moved on to stage 3.

It's all good. Plenty to keep us busy as holidays are near.

I'll have to go check your timeline to see where you are at now. How much longer till NVC sends your file off?

Ok I just checked and it says no record that NVC received it yet. How long do you expect?

Haha I would definitely pay!! At least the 30 days guaranteed. ?

I have a question for you guys if anyone knows, would having lived in the states earlier, under an F1 student visa and working with a permission after graduating for a year, make it more likely to get an RFE? I'm really wondering now if that can make the process any slower if they do need any more info. On the application they don't ask for any of that information, we just touched on this on our letter of how we met.

Hi, How long ago was this? Do you list on your G-325a that you lived in US before? if so I'm sure they will just pull your records to see when you came and went. It would be more time needed then someone who never stepped foot in USA but should not be a problem or major delay.

What are some of the next steps after noa2? Something with nvc ? And I know my fiancé has to get some specific docs

First you need to visit the Embassy web page for Jamaica and then find the visa processing requirements. Have you been to the site yet? If not here is the address https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-jm/niv

Can you finish your Profile so we don't have to hunt for which country you are applying from. Thanks.

Are you looking at the USCIS case status? There are Oct 27-30 petitions that still have not been touched, plenty of them. The VJ system is based simply on those who have registered here, and filled out their information correctly. The average VJ processing is based upon a limited pool, so don't get wound up--as I have. This is why I hated my statistics class, the only real take away I got from that class is that statistics can say whatever.

In our instance it gives the impression of a false average. Which is very depressing for those of us who are not 'average'. Gives the impression there maybe something wrong.

That is why I pulled every 129 I could find from the USCIS database with the same date as mine (150). 30% processing rate as of today (Saturday), and so there are 70% still untouched (not looked at other than at the lockbox).

Hope that helps quell any anxiety---doesn't for me... :clock:

My petition has not been touched since Nov.3rd.

I have a question. Is the i129 visa considered non-immigrant or immigrant?... They are coming with the intention of staying. Like an I130 filer.

non-immigrant. http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/family/fiance-k-1.html

That is because it is only good for 90 days. After the marriage you have to immediately submit the paperwork for the adjustment of status, which gives time for that process to occur...a year or 2.

Hi Tyler thanks for checking in.

I will be calling NVC on Monday

Calling to NVC gives nothing. They do their work and do not pay attention on our attempts to speed up the process. If only you are really nervous and want to be sure that NVC got your case you should call in 2-3 weeks after NOA2. ( it is VERY difficult to talk to them, you should wait for 20-30 minutes on the phone and then they only tell you one phrase -"Wait 35 days, good bye". All i know is from Russian websites where people share their timelines , experience etc...

Sometimes NVC needs 5-7 days to send docs to the embassy, sometimes it takes 1-1.5 month.

We all are nervous in this process(((
