Anybody knows, do divorces and children have any influence in this process? Maybe in getting NOA-2? All couples here have their first marriages or did you have marriages and children?

I just got NOA-2 today. I have 2 teenage children and got my final divorce decree 10 days before I filed my I-129F. Apparently, in my case it was not a problem in getting NOA-2.

As long as the petition is truthful, accurate and complete, the simple answer is no. If you have a specific concern, you're welcome to ask and I'm sure you will get an answer.

Congratulations for all those November filer who got their Noa2.. Im not sure if Im correct but it seems like they slowed down processing of NOA2 for Philippines.. I did a timeline search for Philippines with NOA1 date of Nov 01-10, and only 2 out of 11 got their Noa2. I see Noa2 approved from other countries with Nov 09 Noa1 date.

I noticed the same thing. However, I was looking at some other threads yesterday and saw two different people announcing NOA2's for Philippines. Their timelines showed 12/10/2015 and 12/11/2015 (if I remember correctly).

Just wondering why they are not showing on the timeline grid :clock:

I hope their just not updating their time lines.. I also compared it to those who have their Noa1 Oct 01-30.. and the average processing is only 32 days.. I've also watch the October filers getting approved fast so maybe Im expecting the same.. and Im just a little worried. Edited by Doug&Rhea

I prefer counting bricks on my house over watching the news. I have my armchair quarterback opinions about how they are handling immigration issues across the board. The K-1 process is the least of our problems.. just my opinion.

You are right of course. I never watch the news any longer (several years), only when I'm visiting my parents. My dad likes to 'keep up' as he says. I've tried to explain to him I've been to those places, and hung out with the people. The truth is most times boring, and you have to focus on specific instances to find any drama. The resent CATO report was very well written on the truth of K-1, along with how well the program is administered. Denial rate has nothing to do with anything, very illogical metric.

Unfortunately I see the stories on the Yahoo homepage, and as we know curiosity killed the cat (me in this instance).

The processing rate is moving along, no indication of Philippines slowing down or any other place. It is just that time of year, holidays. We predicted it early on in this thread, just hopping we would be wrong. As you said nothing is going to change for the immediate future, the workload and requirements for reviews are set in place now until Congress or the President changes it. And there is nothing to change, or 'overhaul' as the knee-jerks have proclaimed.
