I found out something really cool!!!!!

Go to the USCIS tracker app. Enter cases with the last four digits that are close to yours. Example mine is 9150. So I've included case numbers 9000, 9145, 9151, 9160.

You can see which cases around yours have been approved or not. For mine, I find that 9000 case was approved. It appears that they are currently working with cases in the 9000's still.

:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

I can now see them moving up to my case every moment. No more black hole

Sorry to break it to you but they dont approve the cases based on the case numbers. A lot of cases after mine have already been approved or at least touched, the same as before mine. ...not mine though.. :( No idea how the system works

No sorry necessary, but thank you.

I look at this as having a flashlight. It doesn't show the whole room, but it does give some vision to the inner workings of the USCIS in Cali.

Many years ago I was on a team to address a 4 year backlog of legal cases with a state agency (and more coming in every week), and we had 6 months to do it. In order to deal with that many cases there has to be a methodology.

The USCIS has been doing this a while so there is a method to the madness, whether by continent, country, number in petition (family versus single), etc catagories that are established when the petitions first arrive. Then those boxes are further sorted to various teams. The teams then sort out to reviewers. Something similar to this.

This is where the real luck of the draw comes into place. Some reviewers are numbers/day driven, others like to read all the stories and take their time, others are having family/work/life problems, etc. Normally, when a case box is assigned to a reviewer, that reviewer owns those cases from start to finish. So if that person is out on sick leave, vacation, that box sits waiting; normally, but I don't know that for certain at USCIS.

But by knowing approximately what case numbers have been 'touched', and what has occurred with others (you can see what is happening), I can at least know that my case is not "bad bad" and being sent to the "bad bad" team for issuance of a "bad bad" RFE or denial.

And the system requires that the cases be reviewed within some x time period, not 5 months. So if the case ahead of mine was reviewed 2 days ago, then there is a good chance mine will be 'touched' pretty soon.

I know that case is in a box with a bunch of other cases that haven't been seen yet. But it is near.

This is a whole lot better than seeing the VJ estimate that my case should have been reviewed on 7 Dec, and there is nothing: Dark Room......spooky. Just use the VJ estimate along with the tracker app, to give better definition for those of us waiting.

If I am living in fantasy world with all of this, then I am in a better place than I was before.....

Our NOA1 is dated from 11/24 so we're probably last on the list here hahaha

But congrats to all the lucky patooties who got their NOA2 this week! I can't imagine how happy James and I will be when we get our own ^_^

BTW, is any of you guys together with your fiance(e) right now? We're lucky enough to have a 6 month tourist visa and that allowed me to spend the last 2.5 months in CT with my boo boo.

Next month we'll be together again when I fly up to see him again and hopefully wait some of those horrific weeks enjoying each other's company. But until then... ugh... distance sucks!! =( I'm so sad away from him!

10/01/13 = 001DInternal USCIS use (typically 5)EEEEStarting at 0001, the order your case was received that day

Hi James1942 or do you want Jaime from here on out?

You said that your case number was in the 9,000's?

So above it says starting 0001 the order case received that day.

That means the CSC got 9,000 cases in ONE day? That can't be right that would be 3 million a year at CSC alone..hahaha. I realize these receipts are not only for K-1's.

Thanks

Tyler

In this case my reviewer is kicking his butt on a month vacation hehe... my VJ timeline estimate was 14-16 Nov, for some reason I have a feeling it could get approved next week.. or I hope, otherwise all my plans will have to be pushed.

I am. I moved to Mexico in Feb. 2014 and we have been living together since. Luckily I was able to find a job right away and get a temporary residency but it's definitely not cutting it (bills in two countries makes it real tough) and it's been difficult on me living here. We were in a LDR for 4 years though, it's rough being away from your love! Y'all have my mad respect. I hope the time goes by fast so everyone can be together finally!

Check the numbers on a yearly basis for various visa submissions. You'll be surprised. Don't take my word, Google it.

The receipt date is listed on each. I've been looking. I-129 are mixed with 795 and 130s. They are generally grouped by 10. 10 or 20 129f, then 795. There is a pattern, but sort of random.

Fun to pass the day, obviously not working, to see.

I have figured out that a lot of people haven't registered with VJ... A Lot.

Yes I was playing around with it and noticed the same thing many I-129's were batched together. I saw one from November, hopefully no one on this board but it said "returned for insufficient funds"

Over 9,000 receipts per day that still just blows my mind. Even if they had 200 CSC adjudicator's that would still be 50 per day coming in to each they would have to crank out over 6 cases per hour just to keep up.

They will forever be behind..Talk about job security..haha
