I've already heard several news reports that it will not be affected . There are already enough layers of BS to go through

Thank God....I've been worried. Then I did the stupid thing of reading 'opinions' which are all negative. The process is as good as it gets. I have no issues with it as it is now. More of an issue with all those who came here illegally, and are now being allowed to stay. But that is just me I suppose.

Do you guys think that the mass shooting in California will affect us K.1 applicants??? I hope not :(

Not it shouldn't be an issue for us. Maybe those who file in three to six months from now, could start seeing some delays. However, that would be related to the numbers of refugees coming in to the US. Refugees are screened by different agencies... the last being Homeland Securities.

When it comes to those who come here illegally... it's not just you that has an issue. I don't have a problem with anybody coming in to this country as long as they sign the guest book. Each and every one of us on this forum that have filed a K-1 petition, are doing so the right way and the legal way. We have to do back flips and clear hurdles... and they don't?

I read... The wife of the guy from San Bernardino who did the shootings came into the U.S. With a k1 visa....the news story defended the visa saying the biometric and interview is supposed to weed out those who are a "threat"... Hopefully there won't be many repercussions or delays. Even if there are, let's hope we all get our approvals before that happens .... I just want my girl lol

So who is expecting their NOA2 this week?

We're on that list. Dec 4-7 is the expected date from my timeline.

I've been a little stressed with the national discussion on whether to vet applications from Muslims. Would the events of the past month influence the USCIS reviewer (California)? Unknown.
