Nicely done. Fingers crossed for us all. I tried to put myself in the shoes of the person reviewing the information. Besides having the required documentation and a well put together packet... the thing that stood out in my mind was proving a bona fide relationship.

Visa Journey has been a huge help

That is the key to this whole journey "proving a bona fide relationship" trumps everything else, unless of course your a crook. Then everything is thrown out the window so to say.

Official Word on how to assemble your package for mailing. Yours worked and that is a good thing but for others this is the recommendation.

http://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-and-fees/general-tips-assembling-applications-mailing

•In preparing your packet, please take note of the following:

◦Do not use binders or folders that cannot be easily disassembled.

◦Use ACCO fasteners to hold together thick or bulky applications or petitions. Two-hole punching the top of the material for easy placement in the file is appreciated.

◦The use of tabs assist in locating items listed as attachments. The tabs should be placed on the bottom and not the side for ease in filing.

◦Avoid using heavy-duty staples; instead use ACCO fasteners or heavy clips.

◦Avoid submitting originals unless specifically required. Avoid submitting oversized documentation when possible.

Unfortunately, I found this website after the fact. The recommendation would have been easier.

Thank you for what you do here. The links you provide make it easy to understand the process. My fiance will ask me questions like what is next. Much easier for her to look at the information and grasp the process.

Probably 9 out of 10 people who use the term "EGAD" don't have FB...hahaha..(joke)

I remember that word as Mr. Howell used to say that all the time. Ok who besides Greenbaum and James1942 know who Mr. Howell is?

Yeah my story is a real yawner.. don't want to put anyone to sleep.. Ok here it goes...I was walking through an airport in Paris and some dude came flying by and knocked into me spilling my coffee on my trousers. He was chasing some Ethiopian lady from what I could tell. Anyway I ended up missing my flight as I had to change my pants. With nothing to do I decided to log onto one of the airport internet terminals. I signed on to a dating website and did a search for ladies in the Manila area as I knew I would be heading there in a few months. I read her profile and viewed some of her photos sent her a message to see if she would respond and about 2 days later she finally did. We communicated for a few short weeks on the site but then my membership was about to expire so we transferred over to a free text/talk/video app (viber) and have communicated on there every day since earlier this year. I've been to visit her twice already and have another trip coming up early next year. This isn't my first rodeo at marriage but I'm looking forward to see where this journey takes me.

Ok you all can wake up now...especially you Gilligan.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I do know Mr. Howell; I'm a Ginger fan. Relate well with both Gilligan and the Professor. Teaching and speaking English to friends in various African countries has taught me to cool it with the $25/words, and pre-21st century colloquialism.

That is pretty bold of you to just like that meet someone one on a website, and off you go. Courageous. It is meant to be. Good on you..

Thank you for pointing that out. I get nervous that I did something wrong when I was sure I followed directions I found somewhere--I'm forgetful. Especially the originals part. I even have a memo from the USCIS that states that the 325 doesn't have to have a signature from the beneficiary; even though the one I submitted does (scanned document).

Still it is all a gamble as the reviewer is a human--theory of chaos plays a role sometimes
