DECEMBER 4. Today is the second day of the Visajourney's estimated date of review of my petition. I've had 4 hours sleep 10pm-2am the last 2 nights. It sure would be nice to see NOA2 today......and get a full night's rest.

James your timeline estimate says Dec 4 to Dec 7th so would today only be the 1st day? Furthermore does the estimate take into consideration the weekend because two days of the 4th to 7th are Sat and Sun.

Get your paper bag out and pass it around when you are done.

Thanks

TGIF

Ok I got the hard copy, the official date is the November 25th.... hopefully by Christmas I'll have the NOA2. It would be a great ending to this year.

That is great news and a big first step. Congratulations! YES Christmas is a good goal.

I don't mind sharing the story, although it is not that simple or believable. In fact no one believes it. So I will only tell the part that is somewhat believable, and leave out the really unbelievable part (so this is the short version):

August 2009 I met her at the Paris Airport, we were both waiting for a flight to Djibouti. Djibouti is speck of a place, referred to by the French as being at the gates of Hell (I think in reference to it being the hottest spot on the planet), population of the country is 800,000 on a good day.

She had been on a photo assignment (fashion model) in Paris, and going to go visit family in Djibouti before returning home to her family's home in Ethiopia. I was going to go work on a engineering project.

She is way way way out of my league, so I starting talking to her. She didn't speak many words of English. But my witty charm, and manly disposition instantly won her over (in my dreams). Actually she didn't want to talk to me, but being too dense to tell I persisted. Finally got her to give me her number (I got it from her phone). She sat in Business, I rode economy of course.

We ended up dating for 3 months, she said no to the first date, but I still went to pick her up.

Then she had to go home. We talked on the phone every day (I taught her English), even after I came back to the states after 6 months. She "lost" her phone, and I had no way to contact her; of course she didn't write my number down.

Fast forward to March 2013. I finally found a project to get me back to Djibouti. As soon as I landed I went to her relative's house, and got her number in Ethiopia. I called not sure if she had moved on with her life. I should have known that you don't find handsome charming guys like me just anywhere, and she had waited. She immediately came to Djibouti and we were together for 3 months; she had to go back to her home.

I went to Addis in Nov 2014 and met her family. Returned again in March 2015, gave her the ring. July 2015 returned to finish up petition paperwork. October 2015 submitted 129F petition. I just came back last week after another trip :-)

it shows love conquers all. When she lost her phone and you didn't have contact with her , she still waited for you. It just shows how great love is and how much she loved you and she waited for you!!!!!!!

I know how you feel. I haven't seen my lady since July 31st. I am counting the days, hopefully a month and a half left apart.

You, Tyler and I should get ours about the same time.

Maybe all three of us will get ours on the same day.

I was just thinking... If we get ours before James... we are going to have to supply him with wine and paper bags :pop:

I'm joking I'm joking
