My wife has her biometrics appointment this coming Monday, just two weeks after we sent paperwork in. I guess that means things are going smooth. ?

You're lucky. We filed 4 weeks ago and have not received the biometrics letter yet. They say on the website to call if not received in 30 days. Hope it wasn't lost in the mail like the SSN card was.

Yeah I don't know why the biometrics appointment came so fast. Hopefully the rest of the process will be fast.

Yeah, I think it just depends on the local office. I live in the Seattle area and apparently that office is one of the busiest so I think that's why it is taking longer for us to get an appointment letter. Hope it comes soon. My husband really wants to work as soon as possible.

I just checked tonight and saw my wife's EAD was shipped out last week, I didn't get an email or text.. weird.. still waiting for appointment for interview.. Bio-metrics were done last month.

My wife just got notification that they sent an rfe letter out yesterday. We will see what it says.

Is that the i-485? I had my biometrics June 2016. I haven't had an update other than the change on the status saying that my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview.

I found out that the rfe was asking for mine and/or joint sponsor tax information. We already submitted that but I read online it's common to get rfe for things already submitted. The rfe also states that the joint sponsor didn't make enough money which isn't true at all.

I will type a letter holding ther hand through all the tax paperwork. The joint sponsor had 2 w2 for 2015 so maybe they can't add.

Woohoo! Congratulations. It took exactly one week for us to get to the card in the mailbox from the day we got that message. Now you can "relax" for the next year and 7 months :~D
