Fiancé visa. Return flight ticket is necessary or not.

Go with whatever is cheaper. We did a one way as it was cheaper than a round trip

Hi y'all! Got an update (though a bit late).

My fiance had his interview last Wednesday.......and he was approved! It was such a relief and after being there, it's so funny to see how stressed and over prepared we were (if anyone can really be over prepared!)

Congratulations on all those who recently got approved as well :) I feel like this is kinda a graduation day.

QUESTION REGARDING FILLING OUT THE AOS:

SHOULD I USE MY UNMARRIED NAME OR MY MARRIED NAME IN FILLING OUT THE APPLICATIONS?

What a cool question. Just take a moment and reflect on it a moment, and I think you'll see I mean.

Use your married name as that's your last name now. Marriage certificate is the document that legitmatizes your legal name change

Hey, my dear friends!!!

Girl in orange here speaking... Now (well, not yet, gotta file for SSN first) Mrs. Caruso!! Yay!!

We got married on Monday in a very intimate but still magical and beautiful ceremony at Elizabeth Park in West Hartford, CT. When we exchanged rings, it begun playing "all you need is love" out of nowhere. It was a guy sitting closeby with a guitar and him and his wife were there and they had adorable baby turtles. It was magical, I really loved my wedding! His parents were there and my now mother-in-law said a few words welcoming into the family, it made me shed a few bride tears haha ^^

We are planning on having a more elaborate wedding in the summer, it's gonna be just as beautiful, if not more! =)

Now we are gathering the docs for the AOS+AP+EAD and when it comes to proof of relationship, has any of you submitted anything? We don't have joint bank accounts or lease or mortgage together yet. =( all we have is pictures, really.

Visa approved today. The process was very smooth and the interview was just basic questions. I attended the interview with my fiance and the interviewers seemed not to doubt our relationship at all since I was their with her.

Very happy and now we are just waiting to get visa to get on flight together ????

Congrats girl in orange! Glad to see you made it to the states ok! According to the instructions (and what others have told me) you don't need to send anything, only your official and stamped marriage certificate. If you have an interview later down the road they will ask for proof of intermingling lives like pictures, joint accounts etc. So just get your marriage certificate, that's all you need for now

Hi all!!!

Now is time for a major update. For those long time Nov friends you may recall a statement I made regarding our plan to fast pass the AOS process.

And it was suggested that it could not happen within the 90 day window.

First let me rewind in time a moment. Aisha and I filed for a informal marriage with the state 3 weeks ago. We will have a small wedding on 29 Apr. formal ceremony next year, when other family members will be here. We did the informal in order to put her on my insurance due to unknown pains.

The story will tie together. Just keep reading.

Aisha has been feeling pain, nausea, food that she once liked she could eat, mood swings (even for her), etc.

I was called yesterday from Doctor's office..........
