Hi everyone!

I had a quick question, it would help more if someone with a beneficiary is from Cuba. My fiancee and I had our application sent to the US embassy in Cuba already. It should get there by Tuesday or so. I will call next week, but I read that the embassy normally sends mail to the beneficiary - where my fiancee lives, mail is not reliable at all. I am afraid that he doesn't get this packet the embassy is supposedly going to send out. Does anyone have experience with this? Can I fill out all of his paperwork here? I will be attending the interview and making it out there one more time next month - so I can always just take him the paperwork. Any advice? I know some of the documents have to be sent in right away...

Hi, I was concerned as well. Maybe it might be different in Cuba, but everyone I have communicated with told me the same thing. No worries. Embassy will send out letters by way of Email, to include the packet 3. Packet 3 contains information, noting to fill out. DS-160, application, has to be completed online and she push the accept button on her end.

I received all of Aisha's correspondence in my email, which I provided.

Hope that helps...

Hi thank you! It provides a little relief, i haven't had anything via email sent to me thus far even though i added my email to the original app and yhe biographical info app as well, i believe. So unless they pull it from there... i guess i will just have to call next week to see if they have an updated email for me. Thanks!

My fiancé didn't get the mail either, so we called the embassy and they just sent her the instructions through email.

Have you tried the Embassy website? http://havana.usembassy.gov/mobile//iv-faq.html and http://havana.usembassy.gov/mobile//niv_appointment_procedures-.html and here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/556028-cuba-packet-3/

Most times if you go to your Embassy's website or use Google or use the search function at the top right of this page on VJ will give you the answer. Be involved with research and you will be better prepared. Many here are first timers like you. Also go to the sub-forum for the Caribbean.

Hey guys :) I just got scared reading about the denied visa. I also have engagement photos but with a big peachy dress which took place at home. So I was kind of scared if the CO will confuse it with a wedding... we have pics of us wearing the engagement rings on our left so that shows its definitely an engagement.. any suggestions as to what I should do?

Like I said, if the picture can be interrupted that it's a wedding picture then leave it out. Why chance it??

Vague questions on ds 160 are fun.

One of the questions ask if they are traveling with someone. None of the options say fiancé so if I am Traveling with her what should she answer?

It's odd they don't have fiancé as

Choice for answer since its a k1 visa.

Answer yes and then it will populate additional questions for you to answer:

Surnames of person traveling with you.

Given names of person traveling with you.

Relationship with person

People.

Most of your questions you ask here are so simple that you can find your answer in just 30 seconds. I answered a question from a poster and within 30 seconds I had their answer. The tools I use is Google, the sub-forum for the country or the VJ search which is located in the top right hand of this page. Over the years I have kept my answers and of course others who supply great answers to questions, using Microsoft's ONE NOTE. It is like having a filing cabinet.

Please do your research and if you get stuck, hey then ask your question but to depend on your ability to get a visa on others who are about as knowledgeable as you and are and typically in the same stage of their processing as you, is not really to advisable.

TThis is exactly what my fiancé told me when I told him our photos don't look like wedding photos. To me a pink almost red dress is not a wedding dress. What if they ask about our engagement party because I mentioned it in my letter of intent? Is it possible that they would ask for photos or do they just take what you provide them? Is this counted as concealing info??

I think you are over thinking this. Just relax I think your photos should be find. If you can leave them out, then I would. Your choice.

Using the government website to schedule an appointment is more stressful than waiting on uscis approval. Is their any website more confusing????

Apparently on Monday a k1 is non immigrant and Tuesday's a k1 is immigrant visa. I swear It is different on several different government sites. Lol
