Thanks for the link! I read it and I'm still a bit confused if after those 90 days we would be out of status though, and I still couldn't work if I didn't file for AOS right? Greenbaum are you around?

I'm still confused also.......................

I think we need to.................. summon the Greenbaum

" Oh great Greenbaum hear our plea

We peasants call out to thee

And as for payment and fees

We offer up Sandminlove's soul for free

So if you please, explain the AOS Process in our time of need?"

We know not the time frame, to file the AOS

Thanks. I like your style of answering questions. So many people don't know how to give direct answers in life in general. Many times I ask people direct questions and they answer something I didn't even ask. Lol

My wife is notorious for not answering the question I ask. If I ask is the sun white or yellow then she goes into some long dissertation which never ends with answering my question. Then I inform her that she didn't answer my question and most times she will say "what was your question". Oy Vey.

Why do more than do when do will do?

After all this waiting, I finally have a date to look forward to for my fiance to arrive here. She will be here on March 31st. We will be getting married on May 7th.

Congrats! That's so exciting! :goofy:

I'm happy to say---WE GOT APPROVED :dancing: God is good! I was about to faint/throw up/pee my pants the entire morning and time before the interview. :rofl:

Congratulations Steph! :dancing::dancing:

Thank you everyone for all of the support over the last few months, especially to those few who went the extra mile to deal with really making things as crystal clear as possible. I've been in Uganda and then me and eve flew to Kenya together, she had her interview this morning and has passed!!!

Congratulations! :dancing::dancing:

Fiance will be here Friday. ??? how's everybody doing

Only a few more days...so exciting! :clock::dancing:

Hey, everyone! Arrived back in Rio yesterday, tomorrow I'll do my medical exams (blood test + X-ray + doctor appointment) and get a new copy of my birth certificate. Tuesday will be the D day, my interview!!!

I'm so scared of forgetting a document. I think I got too many documents, and copies of everything, I'm kinda paranoid with all the stories I read of people whose interviews were postponed for forgetting documents. That wouldn't be cool, to say the least. :no:

So happy to hear all the happy endings of you guys!!! Ours is soon, too =)

Hopefully by the end of April we will be a married couple of kikis!

Good luck tomorrow on your interview!! :thumbs::thumbs: And tell us all about it afterwards!

$1070 I believe, thankfully you have like 2 years to get that started. I know I'm giving it a few months break of all this paperwork after we get the marriage and everything out of the way.

USCIS states that within 90 days of POE you need to marry and then file your AOS. You do not have 2 years to file AOS.

Fees for filing the forms are found at their respective sites:

I-485 (also mentions the fee waivers for the I-765 and I-131) > http://www.uscis.gov/i-485

I-130 > http://www.uscis.gov/i-130

That's right. You must file your AOS at the 90 day mark, sooner if you like, but after 90 days you are out of status and could be deported BUT normally it doesn't happen. Once you have submitted you AOS package and you have your NOA1 then you are "back in status".

Remember the K-1 visa allows you one entrance to the US. Once here that visa is DEAD and you are out of status BUT because it is a K-1 visa you get the 90 extension automatically to get married and then file your AOS. That is what you promised Uncle Sam what you would do if they granted you a K-1 visa.

Thank youuuu!!! Ohhh that's so nice!!! When are you guys getting married?? =)

Kikis are a way my fiancé and I call cats (we love cats) and we call each other kiki too. He always calls me a baby kiki-muffin-angel-boo haha he'd be embarrassed now if he could read this lololol or when we're cuddling in bed, we like to say we are two kikis in a blanket (like "pigs in a blanket") or that we're two kikis in a pod ("two peas in a pod"). Yea, people would would get diabetes if they could see us being cute with each other, it's really sweet hahaha

We are getting married at the courthouse like 2 days after I arrive! haha, then going to plan the actual ceremony where my family will go :) probably a few months later.

And you??

Aww that is the cutest (cheesy too ;) but super cute) thing I've heard haha, you guys are meant to be! :wub:

She once showed me the video below: Wrong Number. We laughed so hard. Then I shared with her the one you posted Jaime and she split a gut on that one. There isn't comedy on TV any more worth watching. Our society just moved away from being talented and onto electronics.

Having fun yet?

Is my theory correct? It is exciting, like walking across broken glass barefooted?

Anticipation at every step, stress, excitement, adrenalin, of what will this step bring? Sounds similar to walking across a mine field too.

Even when you get a good result, there is the wonder is it really good...did I miss something? Maybe I missed it and it will come up later.

Visajourney across the mine field, into the black forest....

Congratulations as you made past this check point :thumbs::thumbs::star::star::thumbs::thumbs:

. thankyou so much!! im in need of that paper bag!! 10 days now???
