We will never know why a CO declines a visa. It's better to not dwell on it and look to the positive side of things. Your life will be that much better. There is nothing that you can't over come including "doubt". Don't ever give up!

Yeah.. Absolutely.. Take a printout and make an appointmnt for medical.. Can i ask which city ur fiancee is in india?

She is in kanpur so she will have to go to dheli for medical and interview. She will get police check first.

She can have her medical in kanpur itself.. Check out the list of approved physicians on new delhi embassy's website.. Only after medical and visa fee payment u can schedule the interview.. If u have ur medical in delhi, u have to go therr twice n that's a lot of travel fom kanpur.. Complete ur medical in kanpur n then go to delhi for interview, that's what i would suggest..

What counts as a police clearance? my fiancé said that she got one about a year ago but it was just a stamp on her passport.

State Department - Look here by country for all Police Records Requirements for USA Visa application.

for police clerance certificate ur fiance needs to schedule an appointment online at http://passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/welcomeLink .. signup for new acount and apply for pcc.. schedule an appointment for the same at nearest psk (passport sewa kendra) .. if ur passport is older than a year u wwill need to go thru police verification.. else u will get ur pcc same day at psk on ur appointment day.. u will get a certificate and a stamp on the passport.. the pcc stamp u got a year ago is no use now... u need to obtain a new one

Hi greenbaum!

I was trying to open your website but it says there's an error. Bu the way, i'm abby. I'm in the US for more than a week now. I accidentally closed your side on my history. Bow i can't access it. I need a guide for my i-94 and ssn and more. Thank you!

So the address on my fiancée uscis form isn't wrong it's just not complete in that it doesn't have the building name. The consular officer resolved the case and sent the instructions for medical and interview to her email instead. They didn't ask for the corrected address in the email response though and just said that we can proceed on to medical and setting interview date.

She will email them Monday and give them the full address and ask if this will be problem that needs to be fixed before interview.

Hey, everyone! Arrived back in Rio yesterday, tomorrow I'll do my medical exams (blood test + X-ray + doctor appointment) and get a new copy of my birth certificate. Tuesday will be the D day, my interview!!!

I'm so scared of forgetting a document. I think I got too many documents, and copies of everything, I'm kinda paranoid with all the stories I read of people whose interviews were postponed for forgetting documents. That wouldn't be cool, to say the least.

So happy to hear all the happy endings of you guys!!! Ours is soon, too =)

Hopefully by the end of April we will be a married couple of kikis!
