And the important 3 words?

It is Scheduled

You now are on a mission-- 50 days to get a job. To play it safe 30 days.

:thumbs::star::thumbs:

You're right. IT IS SCHEDULED. I did put down the paper bag long enough last night to get a bottle of wine and celebrate. :D

I WISH you were right about the 30/50 days. But our embassy requires all documents (including the support docs) to be mailed in and received at the embassy 15 days prior to the interview. They don't say whether it's 15 calendar days or business days, but to be safe I should assume business days. Which means they have to arrive no later than March 15th, and will have to be mailed express by March 10th. If I can send a scanned copy of everything (of course they don't specify), that gives me until March 9th. But if they need to be originals, I'd have to mail (somewhat express) by March 1st.

So....looks like I need a job...tomorrow. LOL. Paper bag please!! :rofl::cry:

YAYY congrats! wishing you the best on job search also

Thank you thank you!

VISA APPROVED !! :dancing: :dancing: (L) (L)

VISA APPROVED!!!

Questions asked: fiancé's full name, how did we meet, Favorite hobby, asked for some pictures, how many times did we see each orher, how long was his visit. That's it!

Congrats Tyler and Abisflores! Great news! :dancing::dancing:

What does administrative processing means after the case was ready on CEAC site?

This means that your case is undergoing necessary administrative processing. These are final case and background checks to make sure everything is in order before switching to a decision.

@ jennaleigh

wow, that's terrible, sorry to hear

first thing I'd do is I'd call back again, it's possible the representative you spoke to bungled something on their end (entered the number wrong, or on wrong screen or the database was not responding that hour or something).

sometimes things on their computer will work themselves out.

good luck and hope it's an easy fix

congratulations to the numerous members getting approvals in the past few days. I am proud and relieved to join that club.

much gratitude and thanks for the supportive group here, the feedback and encouragement have been wonderful, and I hope I've been able to add at least a teeny bit to it.

I really am amazed at how fast this has gone. last year at this time it was taking 4-6 months just to get noa2, now here we are approved and plane tickets booked in 4 months, to the day. astonishing.

best of luck to everyone still crawling through the system. don't give up! you will get there, and it's certainly worth what we've been thru. and compared to last year, we are all still way ahead of the time frame. keep the faith!

gearing up for the AOS/EAD/AP to hopefully have it sent by end next week. All that is between now and then is getting an SSN so I can add him to my bank accounts. Already added him to my medical and dental insurance and apt rental agreement! Little nervous about the DS-2035 vaccinations page as it's quite dark buuuuuuut I'mma send that anyway cuz that's what the doc gave him.

*Cue "The Final Countdown" *

Hey guys, one question! Since K1 holders wont be able to work for 3 months, do you guys have any plan as of what you are gonna do in the meantime? Just sit at home or what?? Im sure I wont be able to do that so I was thinking of volunteering in a non-profit or something. Any thoughts on that?? :)

My dude volunteers. He goes to the gym in the morn so he doesn't get fat on our greasy, American food. Other times he does sit at home and watch Netflix til I get done with work then, if he's up for it, we go drive around. In the summer when it's warmer we'll probably jump on our bikes and cruise the sidewalks

He is also a pastor (working on his credentials to be official) so we are busy at night doing bible studies in different houses for the latino community here. He plans on getting a job when we get the green light; hoping to be able to work as a translator in the schools (ESL stuff) as there are many many families coming here from Spanish-speaking countries. It's a huge need right now and we are watching the school district's website for an opening in this area.

Yeah I understand. My fiance will be spending most of her time studying English since she does not know any of it. I'm sure that is something you all do not have to worry about. But other than studying, I know she wants to blog or work online. I do get concerned she will go crazy being in the house all of the time. I will have to get her out of the house whenever I get home lol. I know what helps is family, my mom wants to take her to the salon or out to lunch etc. I know that will help her not feel so stuck at home and get her out and learning about the new country she is in as well as getting closer with my family.

Last year I spent 2.5 months here in Hartford with my fiance, as he works very closeby, he would come home for lunch we would spend that one hour together... then, he would come home at 5ish and from then on we'd go out to dinner or cook home. During the day, I would go to the gym in the morning and bust my *** studying English and enriching my vocabulary - I already speak English - and want to become an interpreter/translator. I also love crafts so I'd sit at home for a few hours and do my crochet/knit/embroidery and the days flew by. Now I'm here for a second visit, it's already been 3 weeks since I made it to our H-Town and I spent the first 2 weeks of my stay here just working on a cross stitch embroidery project, a set of 2 towels with our names on it. I finally finished it last night and gave to my boo boo as a late Valentine's Day gift. Last week I got a terrible flu as well, so I had to literally stay in bed for 2 full days. I had Panera chicken noodle soup, which was pretty good though :dancing:

Next week he will restart his GMAT studies so I'll be lonely and bored again... planning on catching up with my Netflix series and study some more English. (L)
