Oh, now you are blaming me too! How about a little solidarity amongst us future hubbies. We'll have plenty of time to accept blame in the years to come.

Denial--Intervention

I'm with you 100%. We simply got to get our mind right. Then the future will be so much easier :luv: , with a happy home.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: (yeah, I'm going looney with the waiting game)

I'm a little bit troubled about my fiance's police record. In it he was caught having narcotics in his system 4 years ago which he had to pay a fine. Next year supposedly the record would be clear from the system. We're not sure how this is gonna go and if we should still proceed to the visa interview. We were confused whether that was a convicted crime or not. Any suggestions or know anyone that went through this process?

OPINION:

2 Items

1) Police Record either has it documented or it doesn't. If it is there, then it wasn't removed.

2) Did you report it? I do not recall if it is a question on the DS-160. If it was on the DS-160 then you should have stated it. If not then be ready to respond.

Comment: Not sure if it is a misdemeanor or felony. There is a difference. Misdemeanor and 4 years of a clean record should not be a deal breaker. Just be ready with whatever documents you have from the court, as well as the police record. Felony is harder, but still not a deal breaker--time is on your side.

Not sure how not going through with the interview is of any benefit..... If it were me I'd press forward.

Yes, I think we will have to resubmit a new DS 160. Thanks for your input Jamie!

If I were in your position, if you could bottle up the amount of rage I would feel, I could power the country for years.

Doesn't my fiance only have a certain amount of time to interview before our case is just null and void? What if the embassy continues to claim there are no opening how is this our fault?

I'd be tempted to pull a senatorial inquiry on the situation to get an answer.

I will give it this week, and then if nothing is still in place I will be asking how to do that. I am just so so pissed off

I agree with Eric

Here, I will tell you what is going to happen by waiting a week. You will be 1 week older, you will have acid indigestion, and your hair will start turning white.

Redirect that energy you got bottled up to making something happen, other than tearing up your body.

It takes a long time for that inquiry to make its way through the system, so starting it now is a good idea. And no, it will not hurt your chances at the time of the interview. They will not say you are a trouble maker, as long as you draft your inquiry correctly ---nice language, love of fiancé, etc. No accusations.

Seriously start it now. If you want, draft it up and let whomever you have confidence in review it for you. Then get it sent. That will take a week--so in a week you are now moving forward.

At the very least, you are doing something other than just sitting. You will track the letter, and have someone (Senator) who "HAS" to listen to you that you can call whenever you want to call--it is their job.

Your call....
