Hi eveyone,

Im a December filer but have a question that has been answered at this forum but I cant find it anymore, lol. Once we have de NVC case number the status on the website should say "ready" before we can schedule the interview, is that correct?

Hey tab. Welcome. Wait until it reaches the consulate. After it says ready, it will be there a couple of days after that. Then schedule your interview. You do not have to wait for packet 3, this will save you 1-2 weeks of wait time. If you have any other questions, just ask. Good luck to you!

My fiance called NVC at 11:30 pm and got through straight away. The operator told him they just received it today.

He called them again to day at around 3 pm. The operator asked for the receipt number and our details and gave him the case number. BUT my fiance is kinda worried now that he might have been given the wrong case number coz' the operator didn't bother asking for spelling of our names. So he called them again for a third time to confirm the number with a different operator. And YES it is the right one!!

I too was figuring on about 6 months, I am pleased it went so quickly. Btw, the CO was amused that I submitted a photo of me and my fiancee posing in front of the embassy. Apparently he likes golf too, so maybe wearing a PGA golf t-shirt or golfing photos may help to get on his sympathetic side. 5555

I was also thinking about the Elvis wedding in Vegas for fun, didn't know bagpipes were an option though. More than likely though, it will be a boring county courthouse affair...

Try to find a Thai temple somewhere if you can assuming that is something Orn would like.

HEY QUESTION--each passing day I get more and more nervous. So just want to make sure we have everything before the interview.

if fiance made above 125% on taxes but JUST right above by a bit, but now he is making a lot more, then we should be good with that part right? We have letter of employer and current pay stubs.

Financial part is the only one I'm concerned about :wacko::help:

I've been thinking about how easy everyone has had it in the interviews from our group. And how I want for ours to hurry up and get here. Then tonight as I was preparing my chilli for our company chilli cookoff tomorrow ( :ot: ) I recalled a scene from one of my all time favorite movies. Watch below, and we are Sir Robin going to the interview--Sir Robin is the second guy who goes to get questioned...

they should make ALL the CO's in ALL the Embassy's watch this.

Your fine with his income. Shouldn't have any problems with the financial part to the interview.

We also are only using 2015 taxes since packet only says previous year tax nothing else. And the extra things like letter of employment that we will add and pay stub. Hopefully this is enough

@sandm

even though they only ask for one year, I think it's not bad to have 3 years of tax transcripts, as available from the irs (I don't have the link, but Google is your friend) especially if you are even slightly concerned about finances, wands also if employment has changed recently. recent paystubs and letter from employer are also very good, to show stability and security of income.

the underlying goal is they want to know that the petitioner is reliably employable with a good secure source of income and the immigrant fiancee will not become a ward of the state.

Good idea. Can not go wrong with being over prepared.

Hoping to get an NOA2 this coming week.... hoping..
