FedEx said Dallas lockbox received on 12th. I don't know whether my lawyer requested email notifications or hard copies. She did say we both should be notified when updates occur. I haven't heard anything as of yet. I'm trying to be patient but it's worrisome that it's taking so long..

Ours was delivered on Nov 2nd, received the e-notification on the 5th, we didn't know exactly when we received the hard copy because he didn't checked his mailbox. But I asked him to check on the 12th and its there.

I'm wondering how much of a delay the holidays will cause. In the meantime... my fiance' and I are competing for the anxious and nervous title

Many government workers take off time during the holidays, not too much in November but when December rolls around some may be out for a good 2 weeks or more.

It would depend on which employee gets our cases. Just like everywhere else some employees will have already used up their leave come December and others will have a lot.

So there is no real answer to this question maybe 1 day delay maybe 3 weeks delay during this time of year. I imagine most who are taking vacation will do so around the 18th of Dec. so hopefully our cases can be approved by then.

On the other hand it may just get sent to NVC after approval and sit their for 2 weeks as they have leave to use as well.

Tick Tock

You will get hard copies even if you requested email.

Only the petitioner receives the hard copies.

USCIS doesn't send NOA overseas.

Mine was received by lock box on 12th as well and not a peep yet.

Hopefully this week BEFORE Thursday(Holiday)

Reading these posts abt being delayed has really made me discouraged. I was happy abt Dec.approaching cos I was expecting my noa2 in that first week. Now I have been made aware that it might not happen cos of holidays. I am down now.
