Man I feel so left behind, this forum is already reached the "Buying a plane ticket" stage and I"m still waiting on the NOA 2

it depends on each embassy you can always call, we had to wait to get packet 3 in an email to do anything and I got this answer by calling them

If we want to visit our fiance in between NOA2 and interview- do we also have to bring proof of ties to America to show we won't be staying in the foreign country just as our fiances do when visiting us? I'm assuming yes, but wondering if anyone who visited their fiances for the interview were asked any further questions upon arrival in their fiance's country. Thanks!

Okay. So I just heard from my fiance. She said they took her passport and said she will receive it in 2 weeks. They didn't say if she was approved or not. Is that bad? Would they take your passport if they deny you? From what her and I have read this is a good thing.

You're very welcome! I called last week on Monday and they told me it could take 1-2 months to get it. They had gotten our case at the embassy the 19th. Then boom two days later after I called, my fiancé in the US got the email and I was able to make the appointment last Friday for mid-March, there was February available but we can't do it that early. It took about 1 1/2 weeks to get that AFTER they already received the case at my actual embassy. You can track the case and see if it arrived at the embassy on DHL.

Terrible instructions. No wonder your confused. I suggest calling the embassy or ask over in the Embassy to determine how to schedule the interview. How is it that you have Uganda Flag below your icon but your sighting information from Kenya. What am I missing.
