I know how you feel. We were just talking about this last week and I was hoping he could fly here a week after we (hopefully) get approved. He gently reminded me that he will need to give at least 1-2 weeks notice at his job, and then fly out to see his family, so we'd be looking at waiting about a month. I was super upset at first too, but I'm trying to keep reminding myself that once he gets here, he won't get to see his family or friends for quite a while. Just try to remember that once she does arrive, she'll be alllll yours for the foreseeable future, and you won't have to deal with this agonizing time apart ever again. :D

Thank you. That truly made me feel better. At my fiance's church, they are doing baptisms at the beginning of March and she wants to do that before she comes. That's why she wants to wait, and I am not mad about that. I was only upset because it is an extra month added on to wait. But I am trying to stay busy, support her and plan the wedding in the past week. It has helped. I told her when I see her, I am never leaving her side ever again.

WOW! So much good news for everyone in the past 24 hours. Congrats to all! Hopefully those waiting still will reach 0 for our thread very soon.

Congrats guys.

I called nvc after not calling for a few days in order to ask for my case number...They are telling me to wait 32 days for them to receive it and then another 40 days to have a case number?

I highly doubt it takes 72 days before getting a case number?

Seems like that's just the scripted line that they give everyone at first. The first time (8 business days after approval) I called they said the same kind of thing. Then I called yesterday (10 business days after approval) and they said they just entered in my information and gave me the case number. I wouldn't worry too much about calling until next week!

Good luck :)

That topic has come up before and the answer is "that is their pad answer". If you are calling before 10 business days has passed from getting your NOA2 notification, then you are too early. After 10 days try again. You can call every day if you want after that. Usually around that time period it's in the system.
