here is something crazy.

I got another letter from the NVA.

First one I got was last week and was dated January 14, 2016 saying the petition had been received and now being forwarded to the consulate. Had all the cool info regard case number, name, etc.

Then today I got the exact same letter but it was dated January 15, 2016. It is a duplicate except for the date.

Strange but true.

Mine took a full week also and I am only in Washington State. I have a feeling even though they said they mailed it January 15th that it sat in their mailroom for a bit. Also, the holiday last Monday. Seems like many people are needing to clarify/ show evidence that they did not meet on IMB even though we all checked no. I guess they need specific details to be sure. Didn't take too much time to piece the evidence together. Good luck! Our wait won't be as long this time.... thank goodness.

BTW, this is something that has increased in frequency, wanting to know about the dating website. Mmmm I wonder what is up with that. Even a year ago we seldom heard anyone receiving RFE for dating sites.

No text msg or any notification for acceptance for your RFE. Check you CEAC for update to your record.

What is ceac? XD

I have read others have received a notification that it was received, just like they did for the petition. Not sure if this is by letter or email though.

I just dropped mine off at the Post Office and they gave me a First Class Mail tracking number just in case. My envelope was pretty thick so crossing my fingers it makes it ok. WA State to CA should be ok.

Hope so!! Goodluck to us!

Approved :)

Just got back from work (12:30am on the east coast) and I got a message that my petition was approved. It took only one week from when the USCIS received the information that was requested on the RFE.

For those that got RFE and got approved, do you receive an email/txt when they receive the package or is it just straight decision that we're waiting for?

I did get an email and notification in the app when the USCIS received my response to the RFE.

"On January 19, 2016, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), Receipt Number xxxxx. Our California Service Center office will begin working on your case again. We will mail you a decision or notify you if we need something from you."

NOA1 notice date was November 18th, 2015. Our petition was approved on January 22nd, 2016, two days after they received the response to the RFE issued requesting to know the 'dating website' where we met (like instant!).

Now I'm stressing about the embassy part of the process, lol... like how long it will take to get an interview, anything special they'll need, etc. Dealing with Vancouver. D:

Hope all goes well for everyone :)

I agree, Lots of RFE's for what website people meet.

Conspiracy Theory:

In light of San Bernardino, CA and what happened in France, maybe USCIS is trying to see if anyone confesses to meeting on "Questionable Website?" Like lets say a couple met on:

"JihadiSingles.com - Get together and have a blast! ah ha ha ha AH HA HA HA!!!!! - Terrorist Worldwide LLC" <--- Seems totally Legit

as opposed to:

"FarmersOnly.com - City folk just don't get it - 2015 FarmersOnly Media INC" <------------- RED FLAGS LEFT AND RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!
