Hi everyone.

Tyler did you mean 8 hours?

Haha medical is done.

Boy it's a lengthy process.

Blood work, I only needed one vaccination, and I didn't do a urine test but I had a chest xray.

Overall I spent about 5 hours but finally it's over and done.

Hi Guys,

I am glad evryone is moving along well in the visa process.

I on the other hand got some bad news from my fiance.

We have been trying to get this Singapore police clearance and have run into a road block.

My fiancee is now 31 when she was 18 she was in singapore on a work permit for a year and some months.

Unfortunatly, the passport she had when she went to singapore was lost about 7 years ago and she received another replacement.

We ahve no eveidence to give the Singapore CIC that she was even living in Singapore 11 years ago.

We do not know what to do now. do we go thru with the interview and state she was in singapore less than six months?

Or is thereanything we can do to et some kind of evidence to give to the Singapore police force that proves she lived there in that timespan.

Im confused and need advice.

Any would help now.

THANKS

Hahahahaha this is hilarious!!! My mom also loves that show, I like to watch shows like that when I have nothing else better to do haha

I guess it would be pretty funny to be featured on it, not gonna lie. Our lovestory is so meteoric that I guess it would be more of a Mexican soap opera hahaha. It would also be hilarious showing the video to our future children and they'd most likely be embarrassed by that.

Yea, I'm the girl in orange, my name is Maria and I'm from sunny Rio.

This wait is killing us but the forum helps us pass the time. Next week I'm flying up to Hartford to see my boo boo (I'm kiki).

Also, on Saturday I'm turning 23 (23 on the 23rd :jest: ) and hopefully by then we'll get our NOA2 or our RFE, just any answer at all haha

You should contact them and see if they will put you two on the show. I think there is a financial incentive $$$. Well I would never do it as we both have young kids already from prior relationships and wouldn't want to drag them into this..hehe.

Wow Rio to NE USA that will be a change for sure. Advanced Happy Birthday. Hope you get your NOA 2 by the 22nd just in time.

The other part of the advise on calling is that no matter how annoyed you get, keep smiling, and do not raise your voice.

Here is another point I like to use when I'm dealing with 'agencies'. Before you get into the 'why...' questions, make sure you tell them in advance you are not in anyway suggesting it has anything to do with that person. And always be in the mode of asking for help.

"Can you help me please?".

"My apology, I am not questioning you personally, it is a question about the agency". You acknowledge they are just the messenger.

And at the end---no matter how helpful or unhelpful.

Say something like this (even if you didn't get upset).

"I apologize for getting upset, it isn't you. I know you have no control, or authority. I really appreciate your patience and help." Let them respond...

Yes I talk that way, and the other person always (always) says one of two things:

1) It is okay, I understand I wish I could do more

or

2) One moment, let me see if I can find out

Even if it is 1, there is always a chance that person will talk to the reviewer later--and you want that conversation to be in your favor.

Remember: Keep smiling, keep breathing, and remain in control

Or you could just open up a can of Whoop A$$.....LOL...(just kidding don't do that)

Good question. I don't know that answer. However can't the Singapore CIC just give her something that says " we have scoured our database and find No information on this person" ?

If she can't prove she lived there then that means they have no evidence on their end either.

Let us know what happens. Hopefully others can advise.

I have run across the same type of similar situation. Some country police depts. for some reason will not issue the 'we checked our database and found nothing' letter. They only issue if you lived there for longer than a year, or had a resident card. I don't have the greater than 1 year issue you have, so I have not tried to pursue it.

This does not help you, other than to inform that it is not unusual. Sorry.

LOl Noa2 is 2 days ago.

You guys are saying wait 2 weeks? I'm confused as to why when others on here say at max 10 days

2 weeks = 10 business days

Weekends do not count
