Hello, i have a question. So the ceac said my case is ready per 14 january. Since i havent got any of this packet 3, my fiance decided to email the embassy to ask if they already sent one out. The embassy however replied that they havent received my case from NVC yet. Anyone has the same problem? :(

Dumb question, but

Is the DS-160 considered the "visa fee" or is there a different "visa fee?"

You know what they say the only dumb question is the one you don't ask.

There is a Fee to file for the K-1 Visa. It has to be paid.

The DS-160 is the actual K-1 Visa application itself.

https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/forms/ds-160--online-nonimmigrant-visa-application.html

Yup it moves FAST from here.

Hang on but tight and do it right the first time.

You are long overdue... we are pulling all the powers together for you.

Your crystal ball gave me a prediction of today. Has it changed or should I still expect an approval tonite? Anyway I'm looking forward to one of my predictions this week.

Dumb question, but

Is the DS-160 considered the "visa fee" or is there a different "visa fee?"

The DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application form, is for temporary travel (you still have to get married and file AOS to turn this from temporary to permanent) to the United States, and for K (fiancé(e)) visas. Form DS-160 is submitted electronically to the Department of State website via the Internet. Consular Officers use the information entered on the DS-160 to process the visa application and, combined with a personal interview, determine an applicant’s eligibility for a nonimmigrant visa.

The visa fee is paid separately. Follow the instructions from your Embassy's website as to how, where and how much to complete the visa payment prior to your interview.
