Thank you guys, sooo much. It's really amazing how supportive all of you have been I can't believe we finally got our NOA2, now its a waiting game for NVC.

Am I understanding correctly of the rest of the process being,

1) Case goes to NVC, NVC gets a case number for us.

2) Fiance fills out DS-160 as soon as she gets the number

3) fiance can do medical as soon as she has case number?

4) Fiance is able to schedule interview as soon as she has case number or as soon as medical is complete?

3) I prepare all documents needed from me, which ill bring to her as I will be on the property for the interview,

How long are we looking at here???? Sooooooo excited.

Advice now is to check with your group.

I'm pretty sure fiance needs to have interview scheduled before medical. Need to take that letter. Or maybe you guys need the mysterious Packet 3.

NVC will take 10 days. So you have a lot of homework to do. Go forth and prosper--- Come back tomorrow with a full report. Make sure and quiz some people who have gone before you in Uganda for K1.

:pop:

its been 13 days.. no news from NVC..

Keep calling. time to call morning and evening--don't think it does anything except give you something to do.

Only ten days until a case number is your guess Jamie? OMG this is going to go soooo fast

Or sooner. But 10 days is good rule of thumb for scheduling.

So my question is this:

Why are you still on this forum? You have a homework assignment. No chitter chatter. No gossipping with other class members. Go and get a detailed listing of what you need to be prepared to do. Have it in numerical order ready to execute as soon as you have the Case Number. You will start calling the NVA on Friday, and every business day after that.

But for now. Homework. go go

I'm so happy for you :thumbs:

We have a couple more coming up. This is going to be a good week--please God if it is your will.

You are next KEHINDE, have the faith!!!

Jamie where do I even begin to look at how and what I need to do I feel like a deer in the headlights.

Cool The Great Greenbaum knew what to do the whole time....

Your embassy website is cool, easy and straight forward. Same steps as what I have to do, but this is laid out much easier. I give kudos to that writer. One minor exception, I don't see anything specific about K-1 visa:

So you may need to call regarding medical etc. Call center at +256-312-411-200 (in Uganda), +1-703-439-2303 (in the United States), or using Skype ID: usvisauganda

These are the steps you must complete in order to schedule an interview:

(These steps are also listed on this website.)

  1. Complete the DS-160 online (see more instructions below).
  2. Submit the application electronically.
  3. Print out the confirmation page with the bar code.
  4. Review the fee payment options.
  5. You will be asked to create a new account including the barcode from your DS-160 form.
  6. Download and print the payment deposit form.
  7. Pay the fee in cash at a Centenary Bank.
  8. Wait 24-48 hours for the data to replicate.
  9. Go back online to schedule an appointment.
  10. Input the MRV i.d. number from the MRV fee receipt.
  11. Select an appointment that is convenient for you.
  12. Note: if you pay on a Friday, a holiday, or a weekend, you must wait at least until the next business day (Mon-Fri) for the data to replicate.
