Hi guys!

To all the geniuses,

Can I go to the Medical without scheduling my interview yet? I wanted to wait for February to schedule but its not yet available.

Thanks

Because I do not like to wait for things to 'happen' to me, I took Aisha the last time I was in Ethiopia. That was 15 days after I had submitted the petition (NOA1); back in November.

The hospital we went to was on the approved list. The hospital had a office dedicated to US visa applicants. We certainly did confuse the staff, because they had never had someone come in without the "letter" from the embassy.

We explained we just wanted to see if we could get the vaccinations started for whatever would be required for the USA; I knew they were series (requiring more than one shot). They then understood. They actually set up a patient file (computer) for her, told her about what to expect in the medical exam, and started the vaccinations series.

The reason I did this is in the DS-160 form there is a check box that asks if you have record of vaccinations. Reading in VJ told me about it. Also I read that it is no big deal if you don't have the vaccinations, because you can get them in the USA. But I wanted every advantage I could get for this K-1, so I didn't want a "NO" answer.

I am strange that way.

Every article I read.. I can see the CONFIRMATION OF APPOINTMENT. I guess I really need it.

In each country rules are different I guess. In Ukraine you can do the medical exam without scheduling the interview, you just need to know NVC number and your name.

12.29.2015- NOA-2

Clarification: For the medical yes you do. For the vaccinations no you don't.

For the vaccinations, you don't need photos, or any sort of form. They give you the shot record completed and signed.

Also, helps us because now she can go without being nervous about it; and I don't have to be there for that part. She knows where to go, and whom to speak too. They already have her in their 'system'.

Hy guy, I have a stupid question...

Does it make a difference when you send out an email with non-capital letters even if a email address containes Capital letters??

For instance:

maybe the adresse is: Paul.peter@yahoo.com

but if I would write: paul.peter@yahoo.com

OH MY so many pages to read since the weekend

I have a question....probably it's a dumb one....but if someone wants to wait to get the packet 3 to set up the interview (since my embassy requests it)....do I as the beneficiary that in an email or in the mail? How do they get that info??

I know this might be embassy specific but if you don't call NVC and just wait for them to get our file, do we still need to contact them or do they contact us??

I would think you can, as the petitioner on behalf of the beneficiary. Hard to say, however. In my case I contacted the embassy on behalf of my other half. As long as I had the info, beneficiary's name, dob, NVC case #, passport # etc...they didn't have a problem

Never hurts to try. The worst they can say is no. If you don't try you'll never know :-)
