Just found this thread. My I-129F was mailed to Dallas Lock box on Nov 10th.
I've done a K-1 years ago and they did not have the e-notification back then.

I did not even know about it until when I read of that option here on this board.

Anyway looks like everything will be snail mail response from USCIS

No NOA 1 yet but still plenty of days left this week.

Good luck to you all.

I hope you both signed a letter of intent to marry.

I sent the Visajourney recommended list.

Included a letter from Catholic priest that counseled us 2 years ago (he sent it to me 6 months ago)

Pictures from each of the 3 times we meet over the past year

Visa stamps for each those 3 times

separate document that outlined the meeting times, and corresponding documents (pictures, visa stamps, boarding passes)

separate document for ongoing relationship documentation listing

Phone log for past 6 months (no internet where she lives, with an explanation of this fact)

Included support document with a letter from my company on my job, and income.

--my birth certificate and consulate letter of birth for me, I was born in France to US military parents (both). Support document asks for proof of citizenship

---I'm hoping since my income exceeds minimum by 5x that this will be looked on as a plus.

*yes of course intent to marry, as it is prescribed in the Visajourney list.

Very true. I'm second guessing everything I've done and do in this process. My life, other than work, is finishing this race. My only focus.

I've taken up playing more golf, but then the time change happened and messed that up.

There are very few people with k1 from Ethiopia. So trying to figure out what to expect from there is a mystery. Reading the embassy review says to expect 3-4 months for them to review before interview. So I built my schedule and expectations on that. Then I see the most recent interview scheduled less than a month. That messes with my schedule and my mind. How to prepare and plan?

No way to control, other than just do the best you can on the paperwork. Take deep breathes, important not to forget to breath. And avoid the news stories.

If you go to your timeline and at the top you should see a box that states "see others with similar timelines" choose it and you can have a better idea about the processing at your Embassy. Also, once you get your NOA2 and enter the dates in your timeline, it will populate with VJ Guesstimate when you will process and it's based on the history of those who have gone before.

Thanks Greenbaum.

Unfortunately I've done that which is why I say what I say.

There are 8 responses from the past 2 years. The most recent entry gave 90 days from NOA1 - interview (pending for next week). The other 7 give near zero information, or incomplete;I went to each one to check out their timeline and journals.

The Visajourney stats are very depressing if just looking at the number, only 1 K1 visa has been approved in this embassy since 2013. But of course we know that is not correct, so read it as it is, invalid. Bad info in, bad info out.

The Embassy info say it takes 3-4 months for Embassy review alone. which is not what happened to the latest person. So not sure where that 3-4 months came from.

Hard to judge based upon 1 person's response, except to hope that I follow in their footsteps. Which would be awesome! Pushes us to late January, or early Feb depending on holiday impact.

It is not the same as other places, such as Philippines, Canada, England, etc with lots of responses and support.

No problem, that is how it is and nothing I can do about it. :pop: Except for Rolaids, golf, and prayer.
