I don't have any kids; spent to much time checking off boxes on my list of things to do. And you are right I don't realistically plan on being around to play football with the grandchildren.

So I am recording a video diary for them now. Capturing what is happening during this process. Telling stories about my childhood, about their 'grandmother', my relatives, my general thoughts on life.

So they'll (and their children, and on if the recordings are playable) have hours (days) of hanging out with me---

Now that's a great idea, for even young mothers.

Let me make a prediction. I love the interaction and the help and the jokes here in the November group. The other groups are good also, but they don't have the personality that this one has. My hats off to you all.

So the prediction. I noticed that you are putting on about 2-3 pages a day of comments and help and at that rate by the time the last one of you is approved and on your way, I think we will be turning off the lights on around 500 pages. That's got to be a record. :wow:

Agreed. This group has a personality second to none. The stories and one-liners keep it entertaining... kind of like the old sitcom "Cheers".

I came dangerously close to using an attorney before stumbling upon this site... and to think, I would have missed all of this. The information is right here and people that want to help, that care. Comparing: using an attorney = small wedding, no attorney = nice wedding.

We are fortunate to have you The Great One, Oracle, Man of the Mysterious, Trail Called VisaJourney, Imminent Guide aka Greenbaum (did I miss any Jaime?). We know there is a person with lots of wisdom behind that keyboard. Between your posts and guides along with Hank... the most valuable piece of advice is "Read the Guides" :bonk:

Happy Birthday to You!!!!!!!!!! Ahh to be 22 again, and know what I know now...

Enjoy these days, and everyday. Every hour, every minute, every second. None will come back once they pass.

My appreciation to convey such a record to me, but I can not claim it. There are people at the Texas Center who wait a year and more, even today. Oracle Greenbaum shared a contact once 60 days comes. I hope that we get a note from you tomorrow that says "NOA2".

Happy Birthday (Belated) once again----

USCIS activity seems kind of quiet today. :/ Is there a certain time of day statuses are updated in their system? Or is it just sporadic?

They do updates all through their shifts. We usually don't see them until the evenings it seems. My NOA2 came in at 9:30pm central time and I am sure nobody was inputting data that late. There is no rhyme or reason in the order that they process cases. Many factors do go in to the length of time before an approval happens. Contrary to popular belief, the vetting process is quite extensive. The most time consuming part of the process is the cross-checking of biographical and biometric information with the various agencies. It amazes me that they can do it in under 60 days... sometimes under 30.

Easy answer... It's just sporadic.

There's one word we of Norwegian descent have....UFFDAH!

That's a lot of chatty-kathys is one place..haha

Wow did you just bring back some memories of my childhood. I am of Norwegian decadence and always remember Dad using that expression. The funny thing is you also brought up a nick name for my younger sister who could talk up a storm. Here name was Kathy and we called her Chatty-Kathy.

Ever enjoy a plate of Lutefisk. My mother is Swedish and my Father Norwegian. They would bake that for Christmas Eve and have my Grandmother over. That was her favorite dish. Yuk!
