Jamie, have you been to Serbia? :)

haha okay so not that much older :)))

One stupid question, Im so confused now... On the site it says this

Affidavit of Support For Fiancé(e), Spouse, or Child as a “K” Nonimmigrant

If your relative is either a “K-1” fiancé(e), a “K-3” spouse, or a “K-2” or “K-4” child of fiancé(e) or spouse, you do not need to submit an affidavit of support at the time you file your Form I-129F petition. Instead, you should submit an affidavit of support at the time that your fiancé(e), spouse, or child adjusts status to permanent resident after coming to the United States.

Does that mean we dont need affidavit to take to the interview?!

From what i know you need form i 134 affidavit at the interview proof on petitioner income. then you will need i 846 affidavit for your AOS! my guess is whta you read is trying to say that when you submit your petition the i-129F you dont need to included then.

I know how you feel. I am 30, never been married/no kids. I feel like I am past due, all of my friends and family around my age are married and have a least a couple kids that are 5yrs old+. My fiance is 27 and she is in the same situation as I am. I am looking forward to marriage, no matter what other people try to tell me otherwise.

Haha yes same here looking forward to it!!

I think everyone that goes through this process learns to appreciate their spouse more I think cause you know all the hardships you had to overcome!

And I think 30 and 27 is a great age to start a marriage!

I'm super happy I have no kids yet ha ha not for another 5 years at least :)

Just a question... Why wait until you are so old to have children? You can't really enjoy them if you can't play with them, and you will probably not be around to even meet your grandchildren if u wait too long.

I'm 25, so in 5 I'll be 30, I think it just works best for us to have kids then, we decided we want to wait and enjoy those 5 years a couple alone--travel etc. ?

But some people have kids right away because they love them, everyone is just different, no right or wrong way ?

I'm 34 and my fiance turns 34 on Monday. We both have been married before...in our mid 20's. I have a 5 year old son... my fiance is wonderful with him and my son just adores him as well. We will probably have just one more since my clock is ticking. Haha!

PS- 30 is a great time to start a family. Nothing wrong with that. Spend some time enjoying your spouse and start when you are both ready :)

I don't have any kids; spent to much time checking off boxes on my list of things to do. And you are right I don't realistically plan on being around to play football with the grandchildren.

So I am recording a video diary for them now. Capturing what is happening during this process. Telling stories about my childhood, about their 'grandmother', my relatives, my general thoughts on life.

So they'll (and their children, and on if the recordings are playable) have hours (days) of hanging out with me---
