Hello again guys,

I've been seeing you guys mention that NVC said to wait for the number, being the one that the fiancé can do the medical, is that correct? If yes, I know people that insisted everyday and some got it on day 12 others on day 18. Just have patience and kindness and call them everyday. That's what I'm going to do. Lol

Keep in mind that a forum like this one is for initial bonding with others who are along the same timeline as you for initial processing. The initial application is the same no matter where in the world you are. But, having said that, once you get your approval (NOA2 text message or email), you should investigate your country's sub-forum to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with. This will allow you to get direct answers from those who have completed the steps you are about to take at the US Embassy - Brazil. Sub-forum for Brazil is located here:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/96-mexico-latin-south-america/

Those in this thread, are applying from various Embassies around the world and there are different process for each. So what works in Russian, Philippines or UAE may not work for those processing through Brazil. VJ sub forum for all things dealing with the US Embassy in Brazil and they will answer your questions for the processing of your visa from their personal experience. Link:

Last but not least, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for you country so that you are up to speed.

One last place to check for information would be the VJ Wiki found here: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Special:AllPages

Let me make a prediction. I love the interaction and the help and the jokes here in the November group. The other groups are good also, but they don't have the personality that this one has. My hats off to you all.

So the prediction. I noticed that you are putting on about 2-3 pages a day of comments and help and at that rate by the time the last one of you is approved and on your way, I think we will be turning off the lights on around 500 pages. That's got to be a record. :wow:

Don't wait for your file to arrive at the Embassy. Pay your fee and schedule your interview. Get the medical completed. By the time you finish the medical your file will be at the Embassy. This info is only for those applying in the Philippines. Other's should follow your Embassy's protocol.

. We can schedule his interview then bring it to get his medical done? What other document should we bring from nvc? Noa2 is all we have. Thanks a lot green

26 and 52....I'll let you guess which is which. Hint: I watched the first moon landing on a television that was black and white, and took a few minutes to warm up before the picture showed.

But never mind. We have big plans too. I'm aiming for 6 kids, but she's voted me down to 2 :ranting:

It is interesting how each month's forum varies greatly on amount of people that post. I am happy to be in this group though.

Jamie, have you been to Serbia? :)

haha okay so not that much older :)))

One stupid question, Im so confused now... On the site it says this

Affidavit of Support For Fiancé(e), Spouse, or Child as a “K” Nonimmigrant

If your relative is either a “K-1” fiancé(e), a “K-3” spouse, or a “K-2” or “K-4” child of fiancé(e) or spouse, you do not need to submit an affidavit of support at the time you file your Form I-129F petition. Instead, you should submit an affidavit of support at the time that your fiancé(e), spouse, or child adjusts status to permanent resident after coming to the United States.

Does that mean we dont need affidavit to take to the interview?!
