Bangkok embassy has received my petition. CEAC status is showing ready.

Now, for the first time I am behind the curve and they are waiting on me.

Very nice  Having the ball in your court must be a good feeling.

Happy new year, everyone! I've been away from my computer for a couple weeks due to holiday travels, but I've been reading ALL your posts in my email...I'm SO EXCITED for all of you who got approvals and saw progress! :joy::joy::joy: I couldn't log into VJ on my phone for some reason, so sorry for the belated congratulations!

It's paper bag time for me :clock: ...this week starts our estimated approval time period. I KNOW I shouldn't think anything of it, but I can't help but hope a little.

I'm also counting down the days until Sunday, when I will see my fiancee... Should be an interesting visit....we haven't seen each other in 4 and a half months, and we're staying in a condo with my mother....and this is the first time he and my mom are meeting....

I was hoping for an approval before I leave, but I won't mind getting it while we're together. It would be nice to celebrate together! Just hope they don't send me an RFE while I'm out of the country and can't do anything about it.

So congrats again everyone! All your posts have given me hope and kept me (relatively) sane.

Happy New Year to you!!

Just enjoy your visit. Of course you can be watching for the approval together. That would be wonderful to celebrate the approval together.

I am thinking that investing in paper bags for VJ members would be a lucrative venture

Good luck!!

so say you get RFE, do you have to send a whole new packet in ? Do you go to the end of the line? or do you just express mail what they ask and only what they ask? Do you retain your spot and once you send it in they cross it off and approve you? does anyone in here know or have gotten an rfe themseles but then approved? IS RFE end of world?

Based on review of the timelines, it will add about 3 weeks total.

RFE is not end of the world. Breath, breath.... When you get their letter you will know the details, so to me this is the hardest part--waiting again but for the mail this time. Once you have the letter then you strategize on how to best address whatever the question is.

Think of it this way. The RFE is simply showing a weakness in the petition, which is better to be addressed now. If it went forward and the Embassy had the question, then you'd be dead in water if they want more info for that weakness; or worse they deny it outright with no explanation. Your petition time would be up, and you'd have to start over. This way you address it in the front, so less stress.

Ask the Oracle his opinion.

Happy New Year to you!!

Good idea. Tyler could market, you manage, and I could be demonstrator model. Could put logo on them.

You posted in the Phil sub forum but here is the answer to your other question concern the requirements for St. Luke's

St. Luke's doesn't want "the letter" from USEM, they want a copy of the interview confirmation letter/email/webpage printout, OR the NVC letter OR a screen print from CEAC with your MNL#.

https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==

Thanks Denny. As Always you and this board are worth it's weight in GOLD.

Great to hear they just haven't put up any February appointment options that is what I was thinking/hoping.

St. Luke's is now pre-registered and she has confirmation letter for both her and son.

Ok I'll cut back on the Manila process here as this thread is for all countries.

Funny I just noticed today after how many weeks that the title of this Thread is "November 2015 i-29F filers

Happy Laytons must have been too excited when they typed it.

Speaking of which - Come out come out where ever you are!

If I recall Happy Laytons was last seen leaving to go do some 'catching up' with fiance. Said something about probably needing a medical afterwards.

You're on to something there.
"VJ Survival Kit" with detailed instructions listed below. "Place opening of bag in mouth. Inhale... Exhale... Repeat".
Wonder how much it would cost to monogram a paper bag...

The problem is that I did front load the petition, I provided tons and tons of evidence. The one thing that it may be is i filed for someone else on march 2015, and this was sent in november of 2015. but i did cancel marches, so a multiple filer waiver would not have been needed because that petition was stuck at TSC and was never approved. Multiple filer would only exist if they had been approved........

Your RFE will likely be for not submitting the filing limitations waiver. I know it says only for "approved" but each adjudicator is different and they may have misread this part. Well I guess you will know soon enough. As Jaime said just start preparing your response. Once you give them what they want you will be approved.

Called NVC tonite. Gave me the 35 day script answer, but I used my extra nice and cheerful voice ( I can only imagine the number of impatient, demanding, and rude people they deal with) and asked if she could confirm that they have, in fact, received my file, which she confirmed that they have. So here's to hoping they enter the info and send it away to my beloved country, Nicaragua!

Let that be an encouragement to others who got their NOA2 around the time I got mine!
