while searching this websight for more information about "what to do next", I came upon this thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/541580-i-129f-filers-march-2015-noa1-date-tsc-only/?fromsearch=1

typical wait for noa2 was 5 months. as we enter the new year and prepare for our future with our fiances, let's reflect on our good fortune that wait times have for noa2 have improved drastically from March of this (or is it last) year.

:-)

I agree!! When I first started researching, I was told total process will take 7 to 14 months. Now, many people will be together within 5 months compared to the old waiting period of 5 months just for the NOA2.

I guess they would really be upset if TSC was handling their case right now :bonk:

Sad part is some cases handled by TSC still have not been processed while others handled by CSC (petitions filed after the TSC filers) are already approved, visa in hand, or are already with their love.

Me complain? Never

Wooooo I just checked the case tracker and our case is approved!!!!!

A New Years Eve Approval. Congrats.

Now the fun begins.

Call NVC one week from now to try and get your NVC case number.

Extra Party for you this weekend.

I think we will see a flood of approvals next week when all the CSC workers are back at it.

What you are saying here Tyler is that after one week we can get our number ?!

Yes that is what Tyler is saying. There have been rare instances that NVC will assign a case number after a week but the great share of those cases are not completed until after 10 working days. You can start calling after a week, but your better off to call around the 10 business day.

Checking on your embassy case number:

It will take 7 - 10 days business for NVC to receive your file from USCIS after you receive the NOA2, then another 2 - 5 business days for NVC to get your file in there system and get the case # from USEM. Call at 7:00 am eastern time for shorter wait times K1's are not tracked through the AVR, ever. They are processed like an immigrant visa, but they are NOT immigrant visas, so they fall into a completely different class of their own. Therefore you need an operator. To get an operator:

1-603-334-0700 or 603-334-0888. Operator assistance is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM (Eastern Time)

Press 5 for non-immigrant visa K-1 visa.

NVC CONTACT INFORMATION:

Website: www.immigrantvisas.state.govwww.immigrantvisas.state.gov

E-mail: NVCInquiry@state.gov I highly recommend you email NVC for the case #, even if you call and get it, this will give you a correspondence from NVC with the case # for future reference. The email request for your case # is also a great way to track when your file is forwarded to your Embassy as NVC will not reply to the email until that time.

REQUIRED SECURITY INFORMATION:

You are required to provide the following security information with each inquiry to receive a case specific response:

* NVC Case Number or USCIS Receipt Number (Place in the subject line of the e-mail).

* Petitioner's name and date of birth.

( NOTE: If the visa petition is employment-based, include the employer's company/organization name instead of the petitioner's name and date of birth. )

* Principal Applicant's name and date of birth.
