Yeah we do not have the same luxury as having work when I am a student and hes an intern and trying to save up money for moving here ?. Im trying to be more practical and be more patient. We will see how this process goes and decide from there. Still hoping for a speedy approval.

Usually it is the guy bringing over the asian lady. Your situation is unique in that it is reversed. Very Cool.

You should be approved soon.

My fiance is going to go to his GP ahead of time to get his vaccinations out of the way before the medical. I heard if you need more than one dose of something there is a waiting period and if they wait til they get to the US they need to do a medical over again and pay a civil surgeon to translate the vaccination records onto one form which is costly. Another UK beneficiary waited and it cost him $600. Does anyone know exactly what shots are required? I know MMR and tetanus but not sure all of the requirements.

Keep in mind that the medical fee you are paying includes the shots. Just saying.

I called and got to speak to tier 2. First thing i heard was someone yelling out a name and then hung up. I called again and got transfered to tier 2 again. Put me on hold for like 5 min then said that they just received this case a month ago blah blah and they dont know if the case has been assigned to an officer blah blah blah. Keep in mind that processing times are 5 months. Call within 30 days if we dont hear anything.

Bottomline: None of them are helpful. What's frustrating is, we cannot even plan whether we should see each other again if it's gonna take forever anyway or if it will just be a complete waste of money going back and forth if we get approved sooner. ??

Anyway, im still hopeful. Love will prevail ☺️

My NOA1 is 11/23

At times this process can seem frustrating. I feel you pain. I've told others and I will share it with you. First, this is a marathon and not a race. As soon as you wrap your arms around that the easier it is going to be. We all have walked a mile before you and it's no different. We want to be with our lover, YESTERDAY. "USCIS website: USCIS receives and adjudicates approximately 6 million petitions and applications annually from individuals and employers [for visa's]" It's my opinion and that is "we" put to much undo pressure on the process with our expectations. We are all guilty of it. When my wife had finished and was approved for her visa, I looked back and said to my wife and to myself, this process was easier then I had imagine and to think we put too much on the process which is not needed.

Second, when my wife processed 3 years ago it was taking 3-4 months to receive a NOA2 with approval.

It's normal to be inpatient. We did get our NOA2 after 96 days with no RFE's.

Third, keep yourself busy and stay away from "looking" for your approval. When you least expect it, it shows up. We have had a few here that has happened to and I love their reaction. Everyone likes that kind of surprise.
