My appreciation for the vote of confidence. But as I am near passing out, at a moment's notice with no more than a rumor of some item I may not have done or done, from anxiety attacks that have started with this wondrous journey through the dense forest of Visa Shire, I may not be the one to seek any sort of advice.

I did take a moment to check out your brethren's travels, and it appears that 30-40 days is not unusual; and most certainly thank those who have come before you this year and are frozen in time at the Texas Service Center. For their sacrifice has made your trip that much shorter by pushing you to Cali. I saw several in that misery. So let us use 40 days, and toss in holidays. So my guess is next week....

What say you Tyler? Please step in and offer your insight.

Yes my kinship tis true the burning lake of Mordor aka TSC is a place not to be travelled to without extreme patience. We surely honor those who have braved the way.

The eye of the cape reveals Jan 11th for your CSC travel.

Stars above are guiding towards an even earlier date for you Kath1980.

The Staff of NOA2 has split and Jaime is more forgiving. His guidance should be followed in all matters.

Best of luck to everyone and may the willows grow your way.

UPDATE:

I called NVC today and they confirmed receipt of the I-129F from USCIS as of yesterday 12/28.

No case number available yet.

To those who have their case number already how long after receipt to NVC did it take you to find out the case number?

They told me to call back in 30 days. At least they have a sense of humor.

HappyLayton's according to your timeline it took only 1 day?

Thanks to any who can help.

Waiting...waiting...waiting. :) I used to describe myself as a somewhat patient individual. Thank goodness I signed up for email notifications. Otherwise, I'd be checking the case tracking all day long.

This waiting game can make anyone anxious, hope you get yours soon!!

QUESTION, what can you do in the mean time while you wait for the CASE NUMBER?

The medical can't be taken nor the appointment scheduled, so what have you guys done to not stay behind on the process while waiting for the number?

I completed the 160 form, in draft. You can save it. I used the NOA receipt number as a place holder for the NVA #.

then I went to various threads on VJ in order to read opinions from people so that I could 2nd guess myself for everything I have done to this point.

You can go to the hospital and tell them what you are planning on doing. see if you will need a series of shots. If you need the series that takes 2 months to complete. So if you want to check the box on the 160 that says you have your vaccinations completed that maybe an idea; by the way I have heard it is ok if you say "No" on that box you can do in the USA.

OoooOoh I will get started on that Draft this week, due to the holidays I'm thinking I won't see my case number until mid to late January....

I love this "then I went to various threads on VJ in order to read opinions from people so that I could 2nd guess myself for everything I have done to this point."

I had not heard you can get your vaccinations done later, I'm currently trying to find my vaccination records to see what I'm going to need :dead:
