Question for everyone especially the smart guys who've researched this stuff a ton , my receipt number is xxxxxxxxxxxx28

xxxxxxxxxxxx27 was approved on 12/9

Today

xxxxxxxxxx29, xxxxxxxxxxxx31, and xxxxxxxxxxxxx36 were all RFE'D today

Should I now be dreading I'll be RFE ????

How scary is RFE?

I'm a bit confused (which is me on this all the time!!) When I checked xxxxxxxxxx27 (changed the last 2 digits only from my receipt number) the petition as for I-821-D. Am I entering an incorrect number? My NOA1 was received on the 10th and issued to me on the 13th of November. My receipt number nds in WAC xxxxxxxxxxxxx10..... What am I doing wrong?

Thank you!!

(Oh and congrats to everyone who received the NOA2's - especially Jaime!!)

thank you Kath.

I'm pretty good with these numbers. Not sure what is the question. If you are checking a random set of numbers around your receipt number, what you will find are all sorts of other visa types. It is like playing the game "Battleship". the I-129s are clustered typically, with other visa types mixed in. Normally it is the I-130, another one--I don't recall.

Does that help? If not, please excuse me.

It is ok. Now I know what you are doing. If Eric is willing he could possibly help you. He's a real wiz-kid. He can give you data, with graphs for your date.

Or you can do it by hand.

I did it for my date receipt--Nov 2. I used my receipt number as the starting point. Went up by 100 till I found Nov 3 receipts. Then I went down by 100 until I found the Oct 29, because Nov 2 was a monday. That gave me both points. Then I moved around those numbers, and found 152 I-129s, which is about right for one day. I put all of that onto a Excel spreadsheet. Then checked each I-129 everyday. It did nothing to help move my I-129 along, but it made me feel like I was doing something.

I also entered 30 receipts 15 in front, and 15 behind my receipt, onto the phone App.

Hope this helps

My appreciation for the vote of confidence. But as I am near passing out, at a moment's notice with no more than a rumor of some item I may not have done or done, from anxiety attacks that have started with this wondrous journey through the dense forest of Visa Shire, I may not be the one to seek any sort of advice.

I did take a moment to check out your brethren's travels, and it appears that 30-40 days is not unusual; and most certainly thank those who have come before you this year and are frozen in time at the Texas Service Center. For their sacrifice has made your trip that much shorter by pushing you to Cali. I saw several in that misery. So let us use 40 days, and toss in holidays. So my guess is next week....

What say you Tyler? Please step in and offer your insight.

Wow ok! That's quite a process but it will help me feel like I am doing somethig too..... instead of just having anxiety over it. I would like to be in the US by July, do you think that is realistic even though I have not yet received my NOA2?

July 2016 is a full 6 months from now. I'd take that wager, and put all of Tyler's money down on that in a heartbeat.

All kidding aside. I'm sure the Oracle Greenbaum will correct me, but from what I've seen on timelines 6 months is very doable.

Check the average timeline. NOA2 in 3 weeks, worse case 4 weeks that would be 3 week of Jan. NVA 3 weeks, takes you to middle of Feb. Embassy processing 4 weeks now it is middle of March. Interview 3 weeks later, middle of April. On the plane first week of May. Say there is slack time of another 2 weeks. so you are on the plane 3rd week of May.

That is my guess. Check my timetable under my name. That is how I calculated that guess--visa in hand
