This is orange girl here:

In July I got my green card. Next thing I did was to apply for tons of jobs, and sign up with a staffing agency. One week later, the first assignment. 3 weeks. Fastforward 3 months later, they kept me, I recently got hired for great position within the company, and I'm making the most of this opportunity, learning a lot about the industry, giving my all to meet all the expectations and perform a great job - yes, I'm a perfectionist. I love my job, I love the company I work for, it's a happy environment, and I love my co-workers. It really was a bliss getting this job, and I couldn't be happier. My mom is in town visiting, and my relationship with my husband gets stronger each day.

Just a little update about how my life is at the moment. :)

Darn! My husband's I-485 status changed to 'Ready for Interview to be scheduled'. Wah!! We were hoping to have the interview waived. I wonder if it ever changes for ready for interview to potential waiver? Hmm... :crying:

Still waiting for EAD card. Status says in production still.

Mine was updated to 'Ready for Interview to be scheduled' as of today. Does this mean we escaped an RFE? That's always a concern for me! Regarding my EAD/AP card it still says 'Case has been received'. I had to go back for a second round of fingerprints (my last set were apparently unclear). Could this be the hold up?

Another question, how long (typically) is the wait from 'Ready for interview to be scheduled' to when an interview is scheduled? A couple weeks or months?

So i'm kinda confused with the I-693 requirement for my interview for the green card. On the instruction on how to fill out the form it says there that i don't have to have a medical exam if we filed the i-485 within one year of the medical exam. st.lukes extension clinic to sent me a completed copy of ds-3025 form. Would that suffice? This civil surgeons charges $190-$280.

I think that has happened before. I have seen it in other AOS threads (I'm really just stalking all the threads here on the forum lol). One can only hope :) hang in there!

I wish I could say yes for the RFE. Some folks have received an RFE after the interview (at least that what I've seen others say around here though so that's all heresay) HOWEVER the interview is the chance to bring an extra papers to show the legitimacy of the marriage. Bring anything and everything you can so that there is no question left in the interviewer's mind if you even get an interview. Still have a chance of getting it waived. I was part of the March AOS group people had to wait a few solid months between biometrics and interview (for those who got the it). Many started getting their interviews starting at the beginning of this month. I think that all depends on how busy your field office is.

You can send the DS3025! the only reason(s) you would not is if you are missing a vaccination (supposedly) OR you medical is over a year old. That's too bad the charge is so high for the CS just to fill out, more like transpose, a silly scrap of paper. The one in ND charged us $50 total so we went ahead and did it just because the price was right. They gave him a varicella and another MMR - I think to complete the "series". I didn't ask why and perhaps I should have.

Pfff this AOS thing has been such a hassle  We filed for AOS in June but they 'forgot' to send us a letter for a biometrics appointment. So after I did a service request, I finally received a biometrics appointment letter in August. A few weeks later they send us a RFE, but they send it to the wrong address, so I had to call and then finally they send us a copy of the RFE in September. They received our response to the RFE in that same month but then it got quiet.. no more status updates nothing :clock: I had a job offer at that time so I tried to expedite the process. But 3 weeks later, still no response to the expedite request. And that's when I contacted the senator, who found out that USCIS lost the response to the RFE <_< The senator really wanted to help us, so I could send our response to his office by e-mail and he would forward it to USCIS. A few days later, at the 18th of October, the status of my EAD/AP changed to 'approved'. And yesterday I finally received my EAD/AP combo card (day 140) and now I'm waiting for the interview date for the green card.

Oh nooooooo that stinks! What a mess! I'm glad your senator guy was so willing and able to help you out. I hope it won't be much longer for you now!
