Guys,

I have not submitted any pictures with my i-751 app, so need to know what picture they use on the 10yr GC and what are the specifications

1. Do they need to take the picture of our right ear for our 10yr GC taken at Biometrics. I wear a turban and have my ears covered therefore the question.

2. Do they use the picture taken at our biometrics appointment and print it on our 10 yr GC.

3. Are there any other things that we need to be aware of regarding dressing and photo requirements.

Thanks!

Singh

Yep, they take pictures at the biometrics appointment.

If it's for religious reasons, they won't ask you to show your ears or adjust your head covering (majority of the women in my family wear hijabs and none were asked to make their ears visible).

I think I should post a reply to this question since I originally asked.

I was able to get a picture with my ears not showing for my 10 year GC i751 (ROC) biometrics, and the same picture was put on my 10 yr GC. I did ask the officers if they needed the ears shown, and she said no. If its for religious purposes then no. This was done in Boston in 2015.

Now its 2016 and I have my appointment for my N400 biometrics, I am not sure about how it'll go today as I was told my other fellow friends who got biometrics done here (in NJ) that they will ask my ears to be shown

will keep everyone postd.

Update, I was able to get my biometrics done for my N400 at the NJ local Application Support centre with no issue.

However, the weird part that I noticed that is that a turkish female who was undergoing the biometrics before me was asked to move her heaadscarf behing her ears so that her ears are visible. I was waiting in line for the next to be fingerprinted and pictured, I got out of my line and asked the officer why was that so. She said the government wants it. i then informed her that on my Green card picture this wasn't the case so does that mean I will have to undergo the same treatment, she said no as I'm a man and also your picture will be differnet than hers. I didn't agree with her and she said to talk to the officer in charge at that time. I waited for another 10 mins and the offier in charge said that I was fine but the woman had to go through that as she wears a scarf to wich I replied, i don't agree with that as both of our coverings are due to religiuous purposes.

Anywyas the turkish woman was upset and left a bit sad, whereas I was allowed to keep my ears hidden and the pictures were taken.

Not sure what to infer as the reasons were the same

It's weird because in my 2 year Green Card pic my ears aren't showing at all. I'm a woman. No headscarf.

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".
