My fiance went and had his medical completed in Brisbane today at Anzac Square Medical. They said they don't forward the paperwork to the Embassy and that it will be mailed to him. I'm assuming that he is just to take that paperwork with him to the interview?

Also, they didn't stamp his passport, and we had both read that his passport should have been stamped to show that the medical has been completed. Is that going to hold up the approval?

I went for mine Monday, in Brisbane. They can't stamp your passport, Is not for them to do. passport is Only for use by Immigration authorities in relation to your travel to and from countries.

Your medical report will be sent to you, in this case. I am actually going back to Brisbane and picking mine up, cos If it doesn't get to you in mail you have to redo the medical again and another $485.

The doctor writes up his report, which is given to you, everything they need is in that report, and Yes you take it with you to the interview.

Hope to catch up with you there on Nov 20.. I got 9:15am appointment :joy:

I've never heard about the passport been stamped. lued is right - doesn't happen and never would. I had my medical in Sydney and they posted it directly to the Consulate, but it appears each centre has its own policy.

Good luck both of you with the rest of your journey ?

My fiancé and I did further research into where you sourced the information regarding the medical centre stamping your passport. There seems to be a practice of this in the Phillipines,

I have a good understanding as to why this is done there, but can't comment publicly. Suffice it to say, this practice does Not apply to Australia.

In this part of your visa journey it is wise to see what is happening to Australians in Australia. There are different requirements for each country in this stage.
