Mexico - No K-1 Consular Appointments Available?

Is this normal? Basically they are telling me that they have zero appointments available and they have no idea when there will be any and to just check back every day for them to release some dates? According to our NOA2, we have until 11/13 to get it done or it expires. Anybody else run into this? Anything that can be done? I'm in freak out mode now because there is no way we can start this process all over again. It's been such a brutal year.

Thanks,

Brian

I don't know about Mexican K-1 appointments, but I would not worry about the expiration of your petition approval, it will be automatically extended by the consular officers at the embassy/consulate. Hang in there, almost out of the woods...

You just have to keep checking until one shows up. It is a very busy consulate. As for the petition expiration, it can be extended, so no need to worry about getting an interview date before it expires.

Thanks guys. It just makes me sick to my stomach that we're at this point finally and can't lock in a date and just have to keep checking periodically. Do you know how often they release them? Like only once per day, or I potentially should check multiple times daily? That would be pointless if they only refresh the system like once a day, or once a week.

We had this same issue with the consulate in Ankara...it took 3 weeks for us to find an interview date and January 4th was the first open day. It sounds like this is quite common at busy consulates. Just keep checking, it's frustrating but you'll get an appointment eventually!
