To assume fraud from the few posts by OP that lack details, just because the country is Ghana is stereotypical speculation,even though Ghana is a high

fraud country.

They split 13 years ago, he married a USC and the gap of when he divorced the USC and rekindled the relationship with the OP we don't know.

If he was married to the USC for 10 years then that seems to be a genuine good faith marriage. It is not against the law to marry someone from

your own country if things with a USC don't work out IF THE MARRIAGE WAS IN GOOD FAITH. If they can prove it in response to the

NOID/NOIR then she will be approved. End of drama.

I take it for what OP posted, she stated that there was no follow up on the first 'knocking', no engagement and no wedding.

Another Ghana poster said it depends on the families what exactly transpires, each 'knocking' is different, therefore I read it as they were

not traditionally married just by bringing a bottle of booze. I do not read more into it than what OP stated. Could there be more to it ?

into the different 'knockings', meaning different things to different families. The rites were supposed to be performed but weren't in her words.

We can speculate and assume or go with what OP reveals here :

What matters is only what the Department of State thinks. We know the answer - the CO had denied the OP a visa due to suspected fraud.

Everything else is people just trying to help the OP to understand the probable causes, as well as consequences and ways to fight this problem.

If her vague responses made the story look fishy to some people here is of no importance. It is in the OP's best interest to listen very carefully to what everyone is saying to her, because she found herself in a very bad predicament indeed.

She has to prove (to immigration service, not to us) that her marriage is bona fide, and that her husband's prior marriage was also bona fide. That's all that matters.

What USCIS accepts after receiving the NOID response trumps what the CO 'thinks'.

OP must understand the process that follows a returned petition.

I do agree with your post but wanted to high light what the process is with returned cases so OP will know the next step which is

the NOID/NOIR letter from USCIS. That is next. Nothing more nothing less.

OP has been made aware of the red flags flashing in neon colors and there is just too much drama in this thread detracting from

the procedure of a returned IR/CR petition.

Most returned petitions in high fraud countries carry a fraud note from the CO's and most re filings/NOID responses (depending on K's or IR/CR's)

are approved the second time around despite a CO returning a case based on assumed fraud. Assumed fraud does not make it so every single time

and USCIS determines that in the end with the petitioner's response evidence.

The blanket statement most beneficiaries get is on the 221g as : Not eligible, for immigration benefits only. That would be fraud if it becomes a

hard finding. Truth is, we see thread upon thread with this 221g "reason" and then we see that the CO eventually approved the second time around

and all misrep and fraud accusations are gone.

It is up to the OP and her petitioner (who should be here seeking advice too) to pick up the pieces and understand how to overcome the

next step. This has gotten lost in all the drama comments.

If USCIS is not satisfied with the NOID evidence then it's all over and the petition will be denied with fraud findings by USCIS.

As it stands now they have that one chance.
