Here's the info I could get from this thread on approved transfer cases through Potomac.

Hi how did you get those timelines or approvals thread? I've been searching those who got noa2 from potomac but can't find it.

Posted

Potomac is clearly not at 3 months; all I'm saying is, why kill yourself with anxiety when there's absolutely nothing you can do to speed up USCIS processing at other service centers? We all know to expect 13+ months for an IR-1/CR-1 to fully process, and you're EXTREMELY LUCKY if you get it any faster than that without a special expedite. I'm seeing a lot of unrealistic expectations people are having on here and that can lead to major disappointment and even depression. Please, save yourselves from the mental damage you're inflicting upon yourselves.

Yeah you have a point. It's just hard to accept when you see other's approved less than 3months. And now been waiting for almost 5mos. i'm not expecting anymore. I just help myself busy and praying that God works for the right time to come for us. Eventually, we will be together with our love in jesus name amen. Have a faith and trust his will. So better, visit your love to lessen the difficulties of this whole process

Hi how did you get those timelines or approvals thread? I've been searching those who got noa2 from potomac but can't find it.

I found the information in the thread we're talking in right now. I read all 74+ pages of it and looked at everyone's timelines (if they had them) and put them in a spreadsheet.

all Iknow is that noone so far is waiting 13 months we were transfered to speed things up not even at texas we would be waiting 13 months

I meant 13 months for the whole process until the visa is put in the beneficiary's passport...not 13 months waiting for USCIS to approve the I-130 :)

My Convoluted Story (see my profile for more details)
Jun 2009 - Met on Facebook
Mar 2010 - Visited Morocco for the first time, got engaged

We understand every case is different but some get approved much faster than others ... so its really difficult to understand how the system works and how they actually prioritize cases...

I had a job similar to this process (in which I worked on files, and was assigned certain cases by letters of the alphabet for people's last names) and I can say that each adjudicator is different. Some adjudicators are faster than others, so they pump out cases really fast, and others are slow and unorganized. There are a lot of variables that affect this process. Iin addition to which service center you're at, the length of time can ALSO depend on whose desk your file lands on, unfortunately.

I just called USCIS abd spoke to a tier 2 officer that sounded like he was working from home lol. My PD is Aug 10th and was transferred to potomac November 10th. He said that from Aug to Nov my case wasn't looked at that I should take Nov 10th as my PD date and count 5 months from that. Every officer has a different story, I don't pay attention anymore.

That would only be a 5 month wait time (in other words, it would be exactly as USCIS says to expect), which is better than the 6++ months others have been experiencing over the past year or so. We're not K-1's, it's unrealistic to expect USCIS to approve our petitions faster than 5 or 6 months, regardless of which service center we get stuck with. Patience is a virtue, and it is key in this process.

I've worked on these type of cases before and I've brought those people within 8 months from start to finish. I did my sister in laws paper work and bro in law and both of them were here 8 months. I remember doing my sister in laws paperwork and at this time I had the approval letter and NVC was requesting sponsorship paperwork and in April I got interview date and she had it in June and was here in June also. But with my case and this new service center is different. Patience is a virtue, for sure...lol...I hope to God everyone gets their approvals by March or in March, at least.

I don't trust any of them and always question them and tell them what their point is working at the office if they're not able to give me information that I do not have! I get so frustrated and fed up when they read what am reading and know! Most do not even know what the hell is going on and most have never gone through immigration or anything so they are not always understanding or sympathetic or helpful. :/

From what I saw while reading through this entire thread yesterday, USCIS Potomac can take a month to actually MAIL your petition to NVC and then NVC can take another month to assign you a case number.

I see thank you so much for the reply. I should read through this thread today. Hope your case gets through soon!
