Hi,

My case was also transferred on 10/16/15 from Nebraska to the new Potomac service center. My priority date is July 13th 2015. Its a I-130 petition for a parent of a USC. Have you heard any news? Will our cases get approved faster at this service center? I've been doing some research online but there is no much info about this new processing center.

Thank you,

Hey did you guys got an alien number assigned to your beneficiary when you got your notice letter about the transfer to potomac?

Because in the notice letter that I received 2 days ago, my mom was already assigned an alien number in this format: A123456789. They would only assign you a green card alien number only if they are going to approve your application right?

So far what I have read, is that the Potomac Service Center was going to process the DAPA applications, but that was suspended and it may take 2years to start receiving those apps, meanwhile they will be helping out the other 4 service centers with their work load on immigration petitions. The Potomac service center started operations last august, so It might be good news that our cases were transferred. It seems that they are only tranferring recent filers back from july to present. I'm expecting to have my case approved anytime before mid january, so lets see what happens.

Hi Cristian,

There was not "A" number on the notice I received.

I am at TSC, but I saw that some of the August filers from TSC were transferred - The August filers didn't say where to, but this is a similar case to some June and July filers- who were transferred to Potomac. The suspense of this center is truly nerve wracking, as I am an August filer at TSC..
