When was the last time new you called? You've hit your 5 months.

I have never call before and i dont see any point of calling because i know they gonna tell me to wait 6-8 months

Almost getting 6 months... And no NOA2... Just my kids got that in december...

they are just saying that to shut us up...

Hi All,

talked to tier 2 officer yesterday and here is the update - they are currently processing July 4th file today. Processing time will depend upon the center you are transfered from. Which means if u r transfered from a slow processing centre, urs will be processed late and if from a fast processing centres, then processed faster. However processing is delayed for various internal and external reasons. It will take upto 7-9 months to get NOA2.

No intension to panic anyone. My PD is sept 10 and I am reaching my 5 months periods tomorrow. I was so sure and hopeful that I will get approved within 5 months and kind of really low that its gonna take months more again. And that is the reason I am sharing this update with you all(though its negative).

Lets stay hopeful. Also be prepared for a negative case too.

09-01-2015: I-130 NOA1 ( Texas Service Center )
11-10-2015: Case Was Transferred to ( Potomac Service Center )
12-02-2015: Update on USCIS website ( Case Received At Local Office )

03-04-2016: NOA2 ( letter from Potomac Service Center )

03-07-2016: Sent to NVC

03-07-2016: NVC received our case. (that's what they said over the phone, idk how they received it the same day it was sent)

03-17-2016: Case Number & IIN Issued

03-17-2016: Choice of Agent DS-261

03-18-2016: AOS Fee Paid

03-23-2016: IV Fee Paid

03-28-2016: DS-260 Submitted

03-30-2016: AOS & IV Package sent to NVC
03-31-2016: NVC Received AOS & IV Package / Scan Date

04-04-2016: NVC Added AOS & IV Packets to the System

04-28-2016: Case Complete

My husband filed separately last year in the US, and I filed as married in Canada. This year he plans to file married (although he says since we are married in Canada he can still file single in the US). So far he hasn't mentioned any problems filing without a SSN, also my sister's husband is American and he files married taxes each year with no problem (my sister is Canadian and she does not have an SSN). Hope that helps :)

Absolutely agree 100%. This is so random, its not funny. Certain countries are getting preference over others.

We almost have the same dates ... lets all hope for the approval soon... it also depends on the country your from ... people from certain countries get their approvals faster than the others

I am wondering if the processing time have to do with the country your spouse is located.
You read my mind, that is exactly Wat I was tying

Another thing is approvals seem to be done randomly ... like a case from October getting approved while people from August and September are still waiting ... looks like they are not even going by priority date ...

It really looks like we just cant go by our priority date .. so if we complete 5 months then we need to start calling USCIS.. I complete mine on FEB 21st so will start calling after that date

Has anybody seen a status like - Under review in USIC

No .. I do not recall anybody asking about it in this forum as well ... seems new to me .. is it how your status is updated in the site ?

I went to file my tax yesterday and they told me to get the an I.D pic from my husband either his Drivers license or passport to put him on my tax and this can help get him here sooner. Edited by war teacher

Ok thanks! So now, it clears on me the online status is not updated again? Am I right guys. So we need to call again the tier2 to get more accurate information or just waiting for the noa2 notice to come in the mailbox rather than relying in the uscis website which never moves since Jan25! so exhausting dont know what's going on with our petitions.
