she told me that its from potomac and pd date is sept 28 and she got her approval saturday

congratulations to her :-)

one more question did she receive any text or email message that it was approved ?

Then it looks like there is no particular order in which files are getting processed and its all done randomly ...

There are cases before this date which is still not processed

There is no need to submit financial documents now ... its required at the NVC stage This is really confusing ... I have read in this forum that who ever had a status change that its in the local of

she told me that it did show on her app that it was approved and that she will receive a 7-10 business days letter

and that it will take another 45 days for the NVC to get her number

    6/7/2016 Didn’t get case number so case went to supervisor look *****(new time frame is 2 weeks to get your case and invoice number form NVC.)

    6/9/2016 Case Number and Invoice number received

    6/10/2016 Form DS-261 Received

    6/10/2016 Form DS-261 Sent

    6/14/2016 AOS BILL INVOICED

    6/14/2016 AOS BILL PAID

    6/16/2016 IV BILL Assigned

Do you mind sharing what country she is coming from? I have observed USCIS gives preference to Philippines, Japan and Greece applications.

If you PD is past 5 months, you can submit an inquiry. You can also ask your congressman or state senator to inquire your case and they will be able to get all the information you need. If you are still within the 5 month time frame, there isn't much you can do but wait.

Hi there!

Our case (new case) has been sent to Potomac on Jan 28th. There are few other cases of new filers sent to Potomac on the January 2016 subthread, so I hope it's a good sign that their workloads are not too crazy.

From uscis website:

"If your application type is not listed in the processing time table on our website, our goal is to make a decision on your application within 6 months of filing. Please wait six months before submitting an inquiry"

So we will wait until 6 months.

I called USCIS today and they said that he could see my case was being looked at since mid January and I should be getting an answer within 2 weeks. I spoke to a tier 2 officer ( got lucky and got someone really nice). I filed August 10th and was transferred to potomac.

I called USCIS 15 min ago and talked to a rep and she said 5 months since pd date which is october 8 is my pd date so it would be feb 8 would be my 5 months she said wait a couple of days and call back and she did say that potomac are def a new service so its more of a fact wait and be patient

I thought the same. If its the same as everyone else you should be getting your NOA2 by end of March or beginning of April.
