Local office means potomac service center has your case. I had the same notice of Dec 2nd. I was approved on Dec 11th. NVC didn't have my case yet. Seems like from potomac to nvc it's taking average of 35-45 days.

I'm Dec 3 from Potomac...and I'm still waiting on NVC to hear anything...I call often and they keep giving me the script...30-45days to find out if they got it and then another 30-45 days to generate a case number and invoice number....the waiting is no joke at NVC... :clock: ...it took 146 days to just get approved but...this.... :clock: ...is no joke yall

Did you receive an update on the USCIS case status webpage regarding your approval OR did you just receive the NOA2 via mail?

Thanks.

I only got a paper letter for the approval. No email, no text, nothing. even my online status has not been updated. I'm sure there are other people in the same situation as me. Let me know if you are doing anything different to get through to these NVC folks

Same boat as you... My NOA2 was at 12/17/15... I received the letter.

But absolutely nothing from NVC until now... Weird...

I´LL START TO LIVE BACK AGAIN WHEN I´LL BE ON MY HUBBY´S ARMS, FOREVER AND EVER. UNTIL THERE, I DON´T LIVE. I SURVIVE. (L)

FYI - USCIS website case update doesn't provide latest information for transferred cases (mine was transferred to Potomac). Even crazy is I got my approval letters in mail but uscis website says that "case was transferred and new office has jurisdiction".

Also, I didn't contact USCIS helpdesk so far.

Hope this helps.

I never received any email, text, or online update. Keep checking your mailbox.

Ok so I called last night a nice lady answered my call. She said if we don't get your case in 35 days, scan your approval letter and send it to nvc. Hopefully it will help somehow. I have to wait 10 more days. Try calling very late like 10-11 pm. Usually people are nice around that time.

Thanks for the updates everyone, it has been super helpful and reassuring hearing from all of you. Hopefully we will get our approval in the mail very soon! It seems as if it will be soon based on other people's timelines!

As of today the 6th. I have completed 5 months since my PD. I wonder how much longer until I get my NOA2

It sounds weird coz I noticed in this forum once you get in the fourth month period from the PD you get the noa2. Almost, all approvals from potomac been approved on or before the 4mos period. Did you call the uscis and transfer to tier 2 officer to get more information on your case?
