what exactly does it mean when it's transfered to a local office?

just means that the office where you were put its too busy so the new office will take care of it at a faster step..

Hey everyone quick update! I was just approved!! Yay!!! Potomac is working!

October 6 PD USCIS received my case in California

October 29 request expedite was denied due to no evidence

November 9 Case transferred to Potomac

November 18 applied for expedite again let them know they never requested evidence for the first one

December 2 case update received at my local office

Called USCIS December 3 asked to speak with tier 2 officer who advised it was received at Potomac on December 2 not my local office

December 3 received email that my expedite was approved

Today my status has not changed on website still says received at local office. I called and spoke with tier 2 officer who let me know my case was approved December 8 and is in route to NVC!!

Tier 2 officer stated Potomac is having issues updating website approval will just be sent in the mail unless you speak to a tier 2 officer!!!

Good Luck everyone!!! :joy::joy::joy:

Thank you! I called and told the first representative that my case was in California thne transferred to Potomac and now the website says my case was received at my local office on December 2. I told them I spoke with the local office and they told me they do not have my case. Then I just asked can I speak to a tier 2 officer so they can tell me exactly where my case is. Tier 2 officers can pull up your case and tell you every detail unlike a tier 1 who reads a script. Good Luck.

I called and spoke to a senior advisor. I received nothing but vague scripted information unfortunately. They told me that my case is likely at my local office. I told them there are other people that have the same exact message after being transferred to Potomac. I didn't get much information. It almost seemed as if the person I spoke to was dead set on not providing me anything information just out of spite me wanting to talk to them, and not the lower advisor.

Huh I just spoke to tier 2 officer seems like I spoke to the same person. Didn't get much information. Said the same thing it's at my local office and gave me worries saying that it will take 73 more days to hear something back. So we are not that lucky I guess. I don't want to wait till March for my approval. I'm completely my 5 months on 14th December. It's just unfair

Awwwww you guys complain, but sometimes I think it depends about the Country too.

I saw already people with PD after mine already approved and mine, nothing... My case will complete 4 months already and not even at the local office...

Unfortunately from Brazil I know it takes a long time... I cant´explain why, but I always see people from Brazil waiting longer than many other countries... :(

I´LL START TO LIVE BACK AGAIN WHEN I´LL BE ON MY HUBBY´S ARMS, FOREVER AND EVER. UNTIL THERE, I DON´T LIVE. I SURVIVE. (L)
