People who have filed in august or september, my assumption is that they need more time to be convinced of it or something or there is the name issue or it depends. You guys should call and speak to a tier 2 officer as many suggested here and ask them for a reason. you can also inquire online on the website.

As for people who have had their case approved quickly, i have a question, what was the evidence you guys sent beside the marriage certificate? did you guys send anything else, such as marriage photos or a letter or something?

Martiage certificate

Joint bank statement (his bank)

Beneficiaries on life insurance

Wedding photos

Receipt from honeymoon booking

Birth certificates (wasn't necessary but still sent it)

That was it, approved in 77days.

Wedding photos

Honeymoon photos

Copy of the booking from the honeymoon

2 sworn notarized letters from wedding guests that have known us since we were kids.

We would have sent joint bank account info, but the bank would not write a letter for us with my name also on it because I wasn't present at the time that he went to request it.

Petition approved in 75 days.

Hi I am new to the forum thing, here is my story

Married 09/24/2015

Priority date 10/09/2015

Potomac transfer date 11/09/2015

I have received nothing I asked to have case expidite dandy I was told they can't fulfill that request as it means they would send case to an officer for adulation but proceeded to tell me that that was already in play

Waited 30 days still no word so put in a request for out of processing time and was told wait another 60 days every time I have called it has been a different story I was told two more weeks a total of 3 times since April 9,2016

Is anybody else experiencing this?

Hi Kands0924,

welcome to the journey, my pd is 09/28/2015 and my case transferred to Potomac the same date as yours and i have almost the same situation. every time i call or send a request I told to wait 60 days. to be honest with you I surprised, because I though that countries from Europe do not have problems and they get approvals fairly enough. It seems there are couple cases from different countries and from different filling centers transferred to Potomac in the same date and put on hold for unknown reason.

good luck and keep hope

Approved within 70 days or so - we sent in marriage certificate, copies of plane tickets from visits, and screenshots of chat times (we removed the conversation, so only the date and name was visible).

Thank you for sharing your information. I was talking to a friend of mine today and she told that a lot of these things are needed in step 2 (NVC) time of the interview manly. Here's my question, and those who can relate to it can certainly provide me with insights, if a couple have been engaged for 2 years and get married and then apply for i-130 for spouse visa, will that help in processing their work faster if they provide all the evidence? I mean will it help? My husband lives abroad so the whole joint bank account doesn't work with us so my guess is our pictures and our conversations and time together counts?

Hi you mean every time you call do you ask to talk with a tier 2 officer and they keep on telling you different stories

Yes every time I call I ask for level 2 and even write down the badge numbers and full names last time I called tier 2 said I give you my word 2 weeks and it's all set and will be completed that was three weeks ago
