my case went directly to Potomac service center and no approval yet but I'm seeing cases that were filed after me being approved. my pd is 02/1/16, I don't understand these people anymore. let keep fingers crossed.

So wait... your post is contradicting... You are tired of the 'doom and gloom' on the board; but then you end by saying "so there is no point in speculating"...

the speculation was the comment "You should get approval by the end if the week or Monday at the latest." which is why I questioned his certainly on the approval!?

Not at all. I'm saying that there are a huge amount of negative posts on here (of which I choose to ignore), and that a balanced approach is needed - thus, there is no point in speculating. I think that this has been evidenced by the different timescales by those who have submitted at similar timelines.

Rather than getting upset about things, keeping the faith is the way forward. After all, there is little you can do on here to speed the process up. :)

We requested an expedite for our i-130 but it was rejected on April 22nd because our case is currently under review.

Does anyone have any idea of how long it takes from when your case is being reviewed

i have a question and those approved or not approved can help me. Of those who had their cases approved for their spouses, were you USC as opposed to those whose cases are still pending with PD before yours? I am trying to figure out the way people at potomac are working this because it seems some are approved and while others are still waiting. Also where was the lockbox that people sent the case to? i feel like that there is something a miss here.

I am happy on how things have progressed and happy that USCIS doesn't just follow an order of receipt numbers; since every case is different and some cases are allot more clear cut and should be easier to approve.

Agreed.

My Priority Date is 2 March, after being sent directly to Potomac when filed with the Chicago Lockbox. Whilst it SHOULD be a fairly straightforward case (seeming as we were married in the US after I had been in the US for over 3.5 years working for their government), I'm not going to get my hopes up.

I'm hoping that it doesn't take any longer than 6 months to approve my I-130, but if it does it does. After analysing several of the posts on here, people seem to be waiting 6+ months (as in the case of 'Bosna'), to less than 3 months. I'm sure there is more to it than just number assigned....

I dont understand your question

Well it is easy. I have heard that people who are US Citizens and file for i-130, their case is faster compared to Green holder (we are talking about petitioners). So I have two questions basically as I am trying to figure out if being a US Citizen makes a difference and also from where the case was filed. I mean I just want to understand that beside the officer who deals with our cases, what other factors make the process different for each person. It is quite possible that our state of resident makes a different, as in those who filed from abroad have had their approvals before those who filed from the US and then USC had faster response time than green card holders.

I am also starting to wonder if spouse being in the US makes a difference. It is really inconsistent with the way they have been responding each case. I am just trying to figure out their (USCIS officers') thought process.

These are all assumptions, I do not know if anything is true or not. Just trying to understand them.

Please don't try and figure this process out cuz it don't make cents how they do our petitions you will just drive yourself crazy just relax and watch the circus then one day you will get that email stating that your approval is finally here

I hope you are right. I am just anxious with the recent changes in the US (considering it is election year and we have an interesting one in the US history) so yea I am a bit nervous about all this. Those of us coming from Muslim countries and name and background, have a lot to worry about. It is a bit longer I feel for us.
