I fail to understand where in that verbiage it says you will get a response in 60 days!?

Hello,

I am new here and I have read some (not all of the topics here). Want to congratulate those who have been approved or have their spouses coming to US!

Here's my status. I am a USC, my husband is in Pakistan. We have been engaged for 2 years prior to our marriage in Jan of this year. I have filed for the i-130 spouse case on March 22 of this year and received my receipt on March 27. I filed it at the Chicago Lockbox and it is being processed at Potomac Center. I was recently naturalized (say Nov of 2015), which will make my background check a bit easier (I assume). Now my question is this, like many I am a bit confused on the whole approval time since Potomac is not being shown anywhere online. Plus the articles I have read regarding this new service center focuses on other type of cases such as Employment cases or such but nothing in regards to I-130s. So how can we find out the processing time? and is it too early to call and find any update on this or submit an inquiry?

Bosna1234; i am in the same boat where you are my PD is 19/10/2015 i tried for inquiry but they said you are still in the processing timeline then i changed the subject and then sent to them inquiry about that i did not receive the approval letter yet do you think it is a good think because they did not even approve my case yet but i sent them that i did not receive approval letter because this is the only way to ask them what's going on ?

hello!

I follow this thread every day and keep up to date on everyones progress! I just wanted to let you know that I just received my approval in the mail today!!! I check the online status every day and I believe they have not updated for the past few days so this may be good news for other early february filers! Be sure to check the mail :)

PD: February 5 2016

NOA2: April 20th 2016!!!!!

Thats probably not a good thing you did!? It states that you should not lie to the USCIS staff and now you have clearly lied by stating that your application was approved and that you did not receive your approval letter; once they look into your case and see that it has not been approved and is still within it processing timelines they will see you lied and USCIS could opt to deny you for lying!?

The RFE stated that it if I don't hear anything within 60 days of my response to contact USCIS. The online case status does not explain that like anything else the case status does not explain. You have to wait on details by mail. In my case the RFE had to be faxed to me

Don't worry about it. If they question you just say you didn't understand and made a mistake.

For everyone else.. It's never good to lie, but a lot of people here have, by changing their PD and stuff. When you are waiting over six months with no news or hope whatsoever, you may understand. Not everyone gets approved in 2.5 months.. and if you do.. consider yourself really lucky.

I got a RFE and sent it yesterday they should get it today
