Approved! My minor stepdaughter's I-130 was approved on 4/5/16 at Potomac. The priority date was 1/13/16. Not sure if it processed so quickly because she is a child so the background checks were not as intense. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you still waiting for approval. I waited 11 months in 2012 for my husband's approval so I understand the pain and agony of being separated from your loved one. Hang in there! Wishing you all the best.

2/24/16- Husband received 10 year green card

Starting the process over again for our daughter (IR2):

1/13/16 NOA1 from Potomac Service Center

4/5/16 NOA2!

4/7/16 Case sent to NVC

4/22/16 Received NVC Case and Invoice Numbers

4/22/16 Submitted DS-261

4/22/16 Invoice for AOS Received. Paid AOS Fee

4/25/16 AOS Fee shows as PAID

4/27/16 Invoice for IV Received. Paid IV Fee

4/29/16 IV Fee Shows as PAID

4/29/16 Submitted DS-260

5/6/16 Sent AOS and IV packages

I submitted an inquiry on march 30th from that day I already received two mail front potomac saying that I have to wait because the I-130 is still processing. So two letters with the same thing just wait.

has anyone gotten a letter and what does it say inside they told me that they have sent out a request bc we are at potomac and that 6 months is the wait for potomac and since its an src case it goes straight to texas

Thank you, MrsBurgz. No, we filed from here in the US. I wanted to try to expedite the case but the lawyer said it wouldn't work--my health is not good but I'm not sick enough to warrant it being expedited, he said. (I have heard of people with cancer who don't get approved for an expedited case, in fact.) I am very shocked at how quickly they approved the I-130, it's very unexpected. We were told we might have to wait until June or August, but it was only 77 days. The only reason I can think that it was approved so quickly is because I followed the advice of the people here on VisaJourney in preparing the documents. The lawyer was so happy with our documents, actually; the legal assistant said she would like to use our paperwork as an example for other clients of what to do. Our lawyer had asked us to provide lots of photos, letters from friends and family about our relationship, etc., and so we did.

Same thing. With me I call them twice. First call don't go through. Everything can change for us. Next week. They are going to update the processing time. April 15th of each month they do that. So let's see what happens.

The officer who talk to me said that every 15th of each month they update the processing time. So now is August 5th I guess after April 15 can be any day of September. Who knows. Let's see. And good luck for everyone.
